Meh, he'll get over it. He's the heart of this team and has a chance to make the pro-bowl with Brett. Don't listen to this

Chad was his best friend on the team. While I think he is acting like a baby, you know, since he gets paid millions and is "professional" I can see being upset that your close friend is no longer there. He should however, look at this as a golden opportunity to actually make a real run at winning as a NY Jet.

What is this the third grade. I love Coles as much as the next guy, but it's a buisness and he needs to move on or get out.

    Well....

I guess it is pretty dumb to not put a lot of stock into an old, injury prone malcontent.

He is very valuable. We'd be lost without him.

30 is old? And while he does get injured, he plays thru it and is a big asset to the Jets when he is on the field, hurt or not. I like what I've read this camp in terms of health, a little nag injury here or there but he seems like he'll be set to go once the season kicks off.

I do find it funny that people are so willing to trade him...For what? A 3rd or 4th round pick while Brad Smith or Stuckey become our WR opposite Cotchery? Yeah I'm sure that'll be awesome.

It sounds like the media is really digging here for a story. They are basing Coles being upset about Pennington being gone by him saying "give me time." He probably said give me time, as in I'll get over it, in time. He had to know this would eventually happen after Pennington was benched last season.

Coles spent extensive amount of time with Favre at the morning practice, trying to get on the same page as him. He also came back from his injury the day that Favre came to camp. It sounds like Coles is going to miss his friend, but I guarantee once his numbers go up because of having a superior qb, he won't complain a bit.

Stuckey or Brad Smith wouldn't put half the production that Coles offers on game-day. Cotchery would be stifled with double-coverage with either of those 2 on the other side. Coles still commands respect. So yeah, it wouldn't be awesome to lose Coles and replace him with Smith or Stuckey.

Coles is the classic employee that performs at a high-level but needs a lot attention and compensation as well as feeling he got his way. However, there is ceiling on how long every employer is willing to placate that type of employee no matter how well he performs.

I'm still a Chad fan, and I don't blame Coles one bit.

On the other hand, I hope he consoles himself by catching lots of balls downfield.

If his anger gets in the way of his play, then it's a chance for the younger guys on the depth chart to move up.

How? When do you see Coles bitching at his QB or complaining about not getting the ball enough?

Coles comes to play on Sundays, he may bitch and moan throughout the week to the media, but whatever, he plays when it counts. No younger guy is going to supplant Coles if he keeps playing at his level on Sundays, not to mention he makes $5 mil a year.

I thought it was significant that Coles came over to where favre and clemens were warming up this morning, and started catching Clemens' throws and handing the ball to BF while they chatted. He'll come around.

How come Bosko only shows up when the Jets make a splash or they are playing the Pats? Look up his posts...it it true.

That someone can catch one of Clemens balls?

LC should thank his lucky stars (not the ones floating around his head loony-toons style) that Chad is gone, its just put another year at least on his career and 10 on his life.

Coles will forgot all about Chad after he hauls in his first deep ball of the season from Brett.

It wouldn't be the start of a Jets season without something about Coles being taken out of context or blown out of proportion. It's not going to be a big deal much to the lament of the NY media.
