We need to get Derek Anderson!!!!

He's better than Cassel, and it's not his fault that Braylon (Butterfinger) Edwards couldn't catch a chest cold.

I think we should try what we have and if these two backup QB's cannot step up and be our starters then we should cut them both and start over in the draft. This is their chance to shine. A once in a life time chance to start in the NFL and they can't then lets move on like I said above.

just for the record, I want no parts of Cassell. W/o Josh McD or BB he's not going to be nearly as good. The system allowed him to excel.

As for other QB's none who are available are worth the cost so we should do what should have been done last year and work what we have / the draft and go from there. I still don't understand why we can't develop a QB of our own

No to cassel I'd rather bring in carr, hed cost less and he's still young. Plus I think with a good oline carr can be productive. Have him compete with ratliff and clemens for the job. That is assuming favre does not return.

I agree.. and if they fail next year's draft will be quite deep at the QB position.

cassell or anderson, lol, one's a statue and interception machine. also doesn't use his check downs enough.
then there's a mobil guy who showed a lot of promise if he can improve on his long ball and get rid of the ball sooner..

It's pretty likely he'll be franchise tagged, and the Pats have said they're holding onto him. So to answer your question, no.

wow, some get really desperate when they think carr could be the answer. how many times do you need to see a guy fall flat on his face to realize he's not nfl caliber qb material........

Thanks for the input but you my friend are just wrong. It has been stated numerous times from New England that if Brady can play they will shop Cassel around for a high draft pick. Franchise tag is not a given

Franchise tag is definitely a given. Otherwise they can't shop him anywhere, he is a free agent.
