his teams have always been that great and the MVPs are nice though 1-2 he didn't deserve but those are products of great #s w/ great talent around him.

That great coach Brady has was a complete failure w/o Brady unlike every coach Manning has had.

Brady has always done more w/ less than what Manning has had. compare the 2013 broncos talent to 2014 NE and i's not close yet Brady wins the SB and Manning gets crushed.

He helped to completely change the culture and turn Tampa Bay into a winner. The guy is a leader of men and a very good football coach. Read some of his books.

all teams try to gain an edge, Bill Walsh used to have his first 15-25 plays scripted and have his headset go out so the other team would have to take their headset off and they wouldn't be able to make adjustments early in games. does that take away from the greatness of Montana?

I think New England's cheating goes a little further than a head set. What they did, in my opinion, was far worse than any "competitive edge" other teams had.

I disagree, plenty did what NE did w/ spygate and the football deflating issue is pure nonsense.

Junc thinks of offense helping the QB. Great QB's don't need that. They need defense to help them. Brady has always had defense helping him. Manning never has. The only time Peyton's defense even slightly stepped up: They won the Super Bowl.

    The Pats are tainted.

Spygate, Deflategate and who knows what else they've done?

It doesn't matter the media will sweep everything under the rug Brady is the GOAT, Belichick is the GOAT, the Pats are the team of the century LOL cr@p NEVER ends.

Not even any better than #3 in his era. Peyton and Rodgers are better football players. We can look at team achievements or we can look at overall level of play. Brady cannot be the best of all-time when he isn't the best in his era. Pete Carroll's ridiculous playcall does not up Brady's legacy, he wasn't the best before yesterday's game and he isn't the best because of the outcome. I give him credit for a good game though against a tough D. Not many tough passes, lot of underneath stuff and a couple bad mistakes, but he bounced back and put his team in position to win. He is arguably top 5 of all-time though, I can see the argument.

Does David Tyree's catch in 2008 hurt his legacy?

He's BY FAR the best in his era, not even close.

Regardless of the playcall for Seattle he put up 28 pts on that D, Rodgers was given great FP all game w/ TOs and couldn't do that.

it's not just about wins, he has put his team in position to win 6 SBs, name me another QB that has done that?

if it's easy to win w/ not many tough passes why aren't others doing it?

Not at all. Brady is a great QB, an all-time great. I've watched all of Peyton and Rodgers' careers though, and they are simply better players than Brady. Peyton is smarter, more effective, and more individually accomplished. Rodgers is close with individual accomplishments and has a much better skillset than Brady. The team argument and accomplishments are irrelevant to me in this discussion. Peyton and Rodgers never got to play for Belicheck.

    PPG allowed in postseason:

    Brady's D's: 20.2 PPG allowed
    Manning's D's: 19.8 PPG allowed
**this includes OT games for Indy/Den where their Ds have allowed 15 more pts, using just pts in regulation it's more of a gap.

    SB years:
    Brady: '01, '03, '04, '07, '11, '14
    Manning: '06, '09, '13

    PPG allowed:

    Brady's D's: 17.5 PPG
    Manning's D's: 15.5 PPG

Not a single Pats postseason run saw them average 15.5 or less PPG allowed.

slightly stepped up? Peyton's D carried him to a SB in a postseason he threw 3 TDs and 7 INTs. when has Brady ever done that?

Brady had a good game yesterday. He had a good postseason run. I'm not taking that away from him. He just is not as good of a QB as Peyton or Rodgers. Your problem is you cannot separate the team from the player, therefore your analysis of the player is basically worthless. You do the same thing with Sanchez. It just shows you don't understand the sport.

So much of "best ever" is situational, isn't it?

Who would you want as your QB with 30 seconds to go in a shootout? In a defensive struggle?

Who would you want to start your season with to make sure you get into the playoffs?

Who would you want to face a tough secondary?

Who would you want to face an unstoppable pass rush?

Who would you want with a vertical stretch receiver? Who do you want to throw those 3 yard dumps down the field?

So many different scenarios. Way too much emphasis is put on the QB play. I'm not saying that's not where it all starts, but you can make up for a lack of talent at the QB position so long as there is consistency. They can't turn the ball over. If they can accomplish a 1+ turnover margin - they'll usually win.

I think he's one of the best for restructuring his contract to allow players around him to win. You have to want to win more than you want to get paid, which is what makes the Revis thing so interesting right now IMO.

If you read my posts instead of using your perception of what I write you'd have an easier time. Mark Sanchez is not Tom Brady, we made title games mostly b/c of D but Mark was still vital. Tom Brady created a dynasty, the Pats were a sinking ship, Belichick was about to be fired again and coincidentally as soon as Brady became starter they went on a run and never looked back.

Rodgers hasn't been doing it long enough to be in this discussion and besides the one run he has had a ton of disappointing playoff losses w/ capable teams.

Manning has been doing it long enough and w/ much more talent has done much less than Brady. The difference btw Indy/NE/Den has been at QB. switch the QBs and Indy/Den have a ton of SBs while NE does not.

When Rodgers team gave up 52 points to the Cards in a playoff defeat, were they capable?

When Rodgers team gave up 200 yards rushing to Kaepernick in a playoff defeat, were they capable?

When Rodgers took a team with the 32nd ranked D to 15-1, were they capable?

When Rodgers coach became gutless and made critical mistake after critical mistake a couple weeks ago, were they capable?

Brady is an all-time great. But you are overrating him in comparison to Peyton and Rodgers based solely on team performance rather than individual performance. Also in terms of playoff efficiency and numbers, Rodgers has outperformed Brady in the postseason. Not even that close, really. Brady has been individually slightly better than Peyton in the playoffs. His team has been considerably better, particularly from a coaching standpoint (and defensively early in his career).

w/ the salary cap, Brady is probably the best QB.

The good news is, Brady and Belichek will retire within a few years and the Patriots will probably never accomplish what they have done in the last 14 years in our lifetime again.
All of the fans who started following the Patriots circa 2001, will go back to caring only about hockey and baseball.

Another bright side is that even if the Jets had a perennial pro-bowl QB, they probably wouldn't have had much success in the AFC within the last 15 years anyway.
Manning, Brady, Roethlisberger all have had a great deal of success in recent history.

The Jets will need to find the next generation QB to join Luck, Wilson & Co. as the successors to Brady, Brees, Manning, Roethlisberger, etc....
