Utah St OLB Kyler Fackrell: Utah State Kyler Fackrell had a very busy day at pro day. He completed 16 reps on the bench, one more than his Combine mark. He then completed both defensive end and linebacker drills. The New York Jets ran Fackrell through a gauntlet of pass-rushing drills, allowing him to display his ability off the edge out of a three-point stance. Later, both the Jets and Indianapolis Colts pushed Fackrell through linebacker drills. I'm told the position drills lasted 45 minutes, and the Jets seem enamored with Fackrell. Fackrell weighed in at 245 pounds, looked the part and moved well in drills. He was very good in coverage drills. ... Linebacker Kyler Fackrell, who is expected to land in the second round, will do position drills and may try some shuttles. He met extensively with the New York Jets yesterday. Pauline adds that while Price was "not graded by scouts prior to the season," he's put himself on boards with a big senior season and a great Pro Day workout. At that event, Price posted 32 reps on the bench, had a 30 inch vertical and clocked 4.88 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Price has four team visits coming up, according to Pauline, who adds that "some teams have stamped him as an early third-day pick." The analyst reported on Monday that Price has moved himself onto the draft line because of a great senior season and an exceptional Pro Day workout. If the Jets -- or any other team -- are inclined, Price figures to be available on Day 3. Apr 5 - 6:06 PM
2016 NFL Draft Rumors: Wednesday, April 13, 12:55 p.m. By Tony Pauline, http://draftinsider.net/ A little more than two weeks left before Roger Goodell steps to the podium and announces the Tennessee Titans are on the clock to start off the 2016 NFL Draft. Assuming Tennessee doesn't trade the selection. Here's the latest draft related buzz around the league: New York Jets Is an offensive tackle still in the cards for the New York Jets in Round 1 even after the team traded for Ryan Clady? Most people tell me yes, and the team is bringing Jason Spriggs of Indiana to their Florham Park facility for an official "30" visit on Thursday. Spriggs is considered by many as the best pure left tackle in the draft after Laremy Tunsil. The Hoosier senior has already been on trips to visit the Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions, besides working out for the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens. Signing Ryan Clady to an agreeable contract was the perfect move for the Jets. Months ago, I posted the Jets are very high on tackle Brent Qvale, an undrafted free agent they signed in 2014. And to reiterate what I said at the time, this information comes from a variety of sources including teammates who practiced against him during the week. The signing of Clady tells me while the Jets like Qvale, they may not trust him enough to stick him into the starting lineup just yet. I'm told Qvale lined up at both left and right tackle during weekly practice in 2015. Sources tell me the likely scenario has Qvale eventually replacing right tackle Breno Giacomini in 2017 if he continues to develop and show progress during the year.
