Who is this "we" he speaks of that have never heard him? The guy's been talking shit for over 15 years. Not my fault you can't use the google machine. Offseason needs to start ASAP so these guys can go back to using their heads for what God intended them for...helmet racks.
I'm gonna defend Mendenhall's freedom of speech here even if I think he's an idiot. The guy has the right to say and think what he wants even though he couldn't be more wrong. This is what makes us better then those we are fighting against. And for the record apparently Rashard hasn't watched much news as Bin Laden has been telling his story since 1993 when he attempted to bring down the Trade Towers the first time. Then apparently Rashard doesn't remember the apartment complex in Saudi Arabia, the bombings in Africa, The Cole, 9-11, Madrid Train Bombings, London Subway bombings.... yeah he hasn't told his story. Well then maybe you haven't been listening.
From Art Rooney. Like them or not, the Steelers have always prided themselves as a classy and very patriotic organization. Well used to anyway, why Big Ben is still there is beyond me. http://www.steelers.com/news/articl...l-Tweets/e3341aed-a83d-4f62-a955-ee6b23c7431f
seriously? the gas prices are getting a little too high so the Gov't decided to break out the "we killed Osama" story that they have been sitting on for months and months? Yeah I buy that... In reality, they probably killed him very recently, and just obtained confirmation and told the world what they had done. But what do I know...
Mendenhall is just another typical f'ing idiot who thinks being contrary is the same thing as being intelligent, open-minded or enlightened. speaking of which, the hypocrisy of your post SHOULD be evident to you. when you read or do research you are still dependent on information others provide you, so if you choose to believe it it is no different than simply believing the info the government gives you. clearly your argument is based around the unachievable concept that you can discover the truth of a situation on your own and simply depending on the info the government provides is naive. of course it could be argued just as easily that it is naive to believe the info anyone provides. either way, that wasn't what Mendenhall was saying at all, because he doesn't know the truth but was criticizing others for their beliefs and behavior in regard sto the scenario despite having zero basis to do so. no doubt you agree with him because his argument is equally hypocritical.
Rooney responds- "Although Mendenhall, just like everyone in the United States, has freedom of speech, he should be aware that what he said has the potential to cause a public relations nightmare for what's considered to be one of the league's classiest franchises. Rooney wisely was just protecting the interests of his brand.
