Yes, often when people complain about the Jets (or any team) changing HCs/GMs too quickly and too often, they imply (I think) that the problem is one of lack of stability. But in fact, in my experience, and IMO, it's usually more often that HCs/GMs aren't changed quick enough. Of course, you need to know who to chang TO, and that's where the Doofus Brothers come into problems (and before them Hess). They don't have a clue of what to look for in these hires. Or possibly they might, but their egos won't allow them to hire a strong and knowledgeable staff.

The Jets have had too little continuity for sure, but the thing they HAVE been consistent about is hiring poor staff.

Thanks for posting this. Good stuff. I don't understand why the Jets have been wasting time with DT visits, however.

Yeah, I agree. We all know they're going to take one with the first pick anyway...whichever one is the consensus BPA.:p

Thats assuming a blogger with under 1,000 followers knows all the visits, by all the players made to all the teams.

Teams sneak players in all the time. All of Darnolds visits with the Jets were held in secret for example

Who was the one jet that was converted from DT to OL, Ferguson?? Ugh can’t remember...

also I wouldn’t mind if the Jets brought in another NT type, to keep Q off that dirty work position.

    Brandon Moore, Mr Buttfumble.
He was an undrafted FA out of the Arena League, played for 10 seasons and turned himself into a top T

You're right, but he played RG not RT.

I doubt that any teams are sneaking players in this year, at least physically. I don't know how the NFL monitors or could monitor visits on Zoom or Skype. I imagine that blogger just contacted the NFL and got the list of "official" visits that teams reported.

So am I to interpret this as the Jets are casting the widest nets on OL & CB, so we should be expecting those to be the targets in mid-late rounds where there's more uncertainty? Given that it looks like we only met with 5 WRs, does that mean we're planning on going WR in one of the first 2 rounds?

    Thanks!

It's a little hard to read, but it looks like the Jets are focusing on OL, CB, WR, Edge as their primary positions. It concerns me a bit that they seem to be looking at more CBs than WRs, although maybe that's because they know more about the WRs than the CBs. Clearly they are being exhaustive in researching the OL, and while that might indicate that's the 1st pick, it could also mean that they are not going to take OL with the 1st pick and want to understand who might be there in subsequent rounds.

I just know that however he does it, I hope Douglas can add one or or more OL and WRs that can contribute Day 1.

Even more so, no way of knowing who's being interviewed over Skype or Zoom.
There aren't any rules that say you have to divulge who was interviewed.

I believe the idea is to build the team around the coaches system so this doesn’t happen. :)

Looking at that graph, a lot of teams (even those that need receivers) didn't really spend time interviewing receivers. Maybe to the decision makers behind the scene this isn't really a position that you need to sit there and interview and process and digest...you pretty much look at the college film and can have a pretty good grasp of what you're getting
