Completely disgusting. The Giants offense had done NOTHING. We make that stop we win the game. They would have punted and it would have been 14-3 at half or 10-3. Instead its 10-7, the Jets drive and Folk missed the kick going into halftime.

We even had a chance down 20-14 with 2 minutes left....that game should have been ours, that one play broke everything, it broke Sanchez, it broke Rex, it broke Tannenbaum, it broke the Jets.

Hell it broke the Eagles to, Eagles get in playoffs to, so it broke Vick, it broke Andy Reid. That play affected multiple franchises.

at least that was a play the giants made, that doesn't crack the top 10 of ridiculous things that had to happen for them to even make the playoffs that year.

True like the refs missing a call in Arizona that would have ended the game. Even Pierrara said the refs blew the call.

That was atrocious.... I know a Cardinal fan who broke his 60 inch flat screen during that game.

Fuck the 2011 Giants. The 2007 Giants I never had a problem with but that 2011 team will irk me for the rest of my life. Everything broke right, if the Saints defense didnt choke against the 49ers that Giants team would have been sent to the Super Dome.

I agree the 2011 Giants were awful. Actually, the 2012 Ravens were too. You could argue the last 2 Super Bowl Champions had no business even being in the playoffs.

It pains me to say this but I kinda wish the Patriots would have split with them because now Coughlin/Eli and the Giants will be discussed for the rest of our lives. If they only had the one they would be viewed so much differently.

Next year will be yet another where Eli and coach Tom Coughlin are on the hot seat and every time that has happened....they won the Superbowl. It's something about this team coming together when Coughlin is on his last string and sadly I bet they'll win it again next season.

The argument for Eli Manning in the Hall of Fame is pretty good at this point. You put people in the Hall of Fame because they were memorable players who excelled at the game and without whom a telling of the NFL during their career span would not be complete.

Eli Manning was one of the most anticipated 1st round picks of all time. He is the brother of another guy in the same category. He was part of one of the biggest draft deals in NFL history. He was Super Bowl MVP twice and the first time he beat the QB coming off the greatest regular season of all time both in terms of W-L record and in terms of personal statistical achievement during that season. The second he beat the same guy, a guy widely seen as one of the top half dozen QB's of all time.

He's a likely Hall of Famer off of the achievements above. You can't tell the tale of the NFL from 2004 to the end of his career without prominently mentioning Eli Manning at not one or two points but multiple points during that career. The story of the NFL is not complete without him.

Want to know why Joe Namath is in the Hall of Fame?

    Same reason.

I never said you did but that is the perception in the media.

I would expect he'll be much better, playing this poorly tends to sharpen the focus for next year. The year after he last threw as many as 25 INts he had probably his best season.

The HOF is supposed to be for the best of the best, Eli has never had a Hall worthy season let alone a Hall worthy career. if he has some good seasons to end his career he will have a chance based on the 2 SB MVPs he didn't deserve but if he retired today he'd have no shot.

the only "achievements" you mention that matter are the 2 SB MVPs where he led his O to a whopping 17 and 19 pts while his Ds held down 2 of the greatest offenses in history.

where he got drafted, trades, siblings, fathers, etc... means nothing.
