Oh boy this need for a medical procedure changes everything. This is not good. Hopefully the recovery time is sooner rather than later.

Injuries happen. We'll survive. The upshot in this is that Antwan Barnes probably just became a three down player. Given the Jets other issues having Barnes on the field more may actually be a blessing in disguise.

What concerns me more is the term "indefinitely."

Usually there's always a timetable, how did it go from 3-4 weeks to indefinitely? God this sucks

I dont think he'll be out for the year... Hopefully no more than 2 months though. This really hurts.

At least I hope he's not out for the season.

Wikipedia is not the most trustworthy and reliable source of information, but it is a pretty good start. It gives you the time frame; it looks like Coples could be done for the season indeed.

Injuries piling up. Coples was to be the driving force behind the pass rush this year...bad news indeed

This sucks for sure, Coples was one of the guys I was most excited to see this season. On th bright side, if we were going to suffer a key injury, the D line is probably the least painful place to have it. It's the place where this team is the deepest with talent and also where Rex excels most at utilizing who he has to the best of their abilities. I think we'll be okay here...

PISS. More reps for Ricky Sapp and G McIntyre I guess. I was really looking forward to watching Q this yr, hope he plays.

This could be worse than losing Revis or Holmes for the year. I pray that he's not lost for the year. Funny how something that seemed so insignificant can turn into an entire season gone.

need more info on the severity of it all...

barnes is the next man up and would get the most reps presumably. not a bad signing at all given the circumstances.

Yes it could. They could be playing for the worst franchise in the division and be playing in the Canadian Commonwealth of Buffalo.

For those asking if it could be any worse... Absolutely

We have a guy who has shown that he can play in the league in Barnes and 2 young OLB that are decent in Sapp and big Mac. Remember when Mangold hurt his ankle and we needed to rely on Schlauderaff/Baxter.

Let's give some credit where it is due Idz bringing back Pace and signing Barnes ensures that we have starting caliber OLBs that minimize the impact of this injury. Hopefully he does not miss too much time though.

Not good, this is going to set coples learning curve back another year, one of the few bright spots I was looking forward to this season
