Happiest I've ever been to hear someone has a concussion.

When he went down I was having flashbacks of Dennis Byrd. Scary stuff. Glad he's ok.

This was very scary there. Thank god it's not his neck. Still that's a very serious concussion to knock him out cold like that. Hoping for a swift and full recovery for the kid.

Awesome news. Its like a second win of the day.

I'd like to say get back soon but I doubt thats the first thing on Mauldin's mind right now. I honestly dont know how you strap on pads and step on a football field again after having something like that happen to you.

‪#‎Jets‬ OLB Lorenzo Mauldin has feeling in his extremities & his scans have been clean. He’ll stay overnight and be monitored but good signs

I'm very happy that round one of news isn't worst-case. I'm still not convinced it's just a concussion, or that he's out of the woods. To get to his feet and then lose consciousness is really troubling to me and doesn't seem "normal" in the context of a simple concussion. I feel like something else happened or is present in the situation, but really, really, really hope that's just my fear/ignorance as a fan.

I want this kid to be alright so badly.

Rapoparrot. This guy really has no shame, he'll just tweet out any report he sees on twitter by a beat writer, put his own name under it and make it look like he's breaking news with those recycled tweets 10 minutes later.

Yes. He got knocked cold, I think. A lot of concussions have no connection to unconsciousness. So happy his spine is damaged

He could still be out a long time with that severe a concussion. Welker missed 4 weeks with one that was much less serious I think.

Welker's had a billion concussions over his career, with guys like that you have to be extra careful.

What's the league protocol on this? I know he has to be approved before even practicing again.

I'm ok with him being out a while, just really happy the kid can even feel his fingers right now. I'll be really happy when he does finally get back on the field, but for now he should be focused on getting fully recovered.

I guess some guys landed on his head when it was on the ground. Did not see a bad hit making the initial play. Amazing that does not happen more often the way guys fly around

It looked absolutely awful. I don't think anyone saw it in real time because we were too excited about Revis picking the ball up and going. The stadium was eerily quiet. It was something out of a movie, really. Last I saw on twitter he was awake and had movement in all of his extremities. That is great news. I pray this kid will be fine.
