I would have loved us to win last night, but it was going to take an unbelievable effort from the offense to win the game. We probably would have had to play a turnover free game, and with nacho under center thats really rare. Even if we would have played them close. Lets say that the two fluke fumbles are eliminated, and another TD here or there, it would have still been a loss. What would we have really learned? We have lost close games to New England and we have lost blowouts to them as well, nothing new is learned. The blueprint for us beating them is already out there.
It ain't over till its over. The Jets have to run the table, it's the only chance. Slim, but worth fighting for. I'm just glad the team isn't giving up on the year like some of these fans are. Of course one more loss means we can indeed end the talk of playoffs. As of this moment we still have a slim chance. I'll take it.
Well, the good news in this 'quest' is that the Bills and Tennessee lost. That doesn't put us completely out of the race. Other bit of good news: Steelers lost to the Browns. They're really, really hurting with Ben. So, in other words, we're only 2 games back out of the Wildcard race.
TO QUOTE " I know what your feeling ,,,,,let it go,,,,,,let it go " it's over---we have zero shot----blow this team and organization up,,,,,push the button now and blow this mess up !!!:breakdance:
You really want the Jets to run the table, make the playoffs and get blown out by a good team in the wild card round? This Jets team can't play against good teams. It just doesn't have the talent. The thing I am most grateful for right now is that the Jets don't have to face another good team all year. I'm tired of them getting embarrassed on national TV by any front office and coaching staff with half a clue. We're fighting from such a disadvantage from the start before anybody even takes the field that it is painful to watch.
I actually think we have a really good shot to take the Steeler's wild card spot. They play BAL, SD, DAL, CIN, and CLE. I think they lose at least three of those, especially without Big Ben - only one I can see them winning without him is Cleveland, though they lost to them today. And I still can see the Colts tanking at this point. Of course we have to win out.
Just make it to the dance. Anything can happen, just look at the last 2 Superbowl champions. 9-7 teams as 6th seeds.
we are still in this. the teams in front are all collapsing and falling to the wayside just have to capitalize u know rex and sanchez will be drilling that into the players this week. We are still in the playoff run.
PITT and CIN are now 6-5. We are 4-7. We need to win out and get help. 99% chance we are out of this.
This sort of begs the question about who to start. Sanchez? 'Best chance to win' but low reward and HIGH risk. Tebow? Non-conventional offense with non creative offensive coordinator McElroy? Hasn't started a game. We can't fool around anymore, so the person we start NEEDS to ride it out and they need to perform on an above average level
We don't know when or if Ben will be back this season and I don't trust Andy Dalton to lead a team to the playoffs we need to win out and the rest will take care of itself imo
Didn't Andy Dalton do just that last year? And yes of course if we win out, our chances rise dramatically. The possibility of that happening remains really low though
