That, to me, is alarming. Your Father passes away, and your own family doesn't want you at his funeral? Sounds like a family who's scared of him. And one who may have been bullied by and tormented by him throughout the past. Only to later bond him out of jail, simply out of fear of what he could be capable of doing to them once he got out (if were left stuck in there). I don't think he's able to mentally handle no longer playing Football. From coming off a Pro Bowl season and postseason appearance... to now being a Free Agent and out of the league with no teams making him any types of offers to come play. He can't handle it. And since then he's really fallen off the deep end and has been getting himself into trouble off the field.
