I just wanna yell to Coleman, "BE TALLER!"

It was a perfect pass in that situation.

Having said that, if Coleman is taller, does Manning still throw that ball, knowing that it could get tipped/picked? Does Manning make an even 'more' perfect pass if the CB is taller? Is it still a perfect pass if Coleman doesn't mistime his leap?

So many factors that went into this play; but as has been said, in that situation, it was the perfect pass.

5'9" nickels are ok.. the problem is the smaller you are the more you should have coordination and control of your body.

Lol, Revis is listed at 5-11" and he has great control. Sure Revis is more like 5-9" as well.

That was not a perfect throw; Manning threw into coverage (he said as much in an interview) trying to make a play and Coleman left his feet too soon (leaving your feet slows you down) watch the play. The separation occurs after he leaves his feet.

I can?t post a link but you can type New York Jets vs Indianapolis Colts 17-30 Highlights - NFL Playoffs 2010 into a YouTube search box you can see the play for yourself if you can bear it.

    The play begins at 2:14

That just set me back into my depression.... that was the turning point of the game and Coleman would have had room to run had he come down with it provided he didn't fall to the ground. They are both MWC guys but I don't think Coleman ever saw Collie in college although with Collie's 2 year LDS mission it is entirely possible.

If he just went for the swat he could've stretched out a tad mroe... looks like he's jumping for the INT which limited his stretch... But that's D. Coleman for you.

Its just Coleman. The D implies he plays defense.

Agree with everyone above - if Coleman doesn't try to intercept that ball, he can break up the pass pretty easily. The real point is that you have to be just about perfect to beat Manning when he's playing at the level he did on Sunday, and that was a completely boneheaded decision that ended up killing the Jets big-time.

not to depress anyone but if coleman knocks that down I think the Jets are headed to the Super Bowl

that play changed the entire game.
