Sanchez was less than stellar in the red zone, but so was the entire offense. Schotty has to get better with what he wants to do in the red zone. I can recall more than one trip inside the 20 where this fanbase was unanimous in ranting on how badly the series was handled.
1. Plax has been away from the football for a long period of time. He is a risk you don't need to take. He can build jailhouse in Philadelphia with that dog fighter Vick for all I care. 2. Randy Moss can go fuck a duck (2) 3. I voted for Chad Johnson. He may be talking a lot off the field, but at least on field, he performs.
Can we start discussing options that aren't locker room problems and/or on the last legs of their careers?
The stupidity on the goal line stand against the Steelers boggles my mind. On the first play we got 2 yards and were than a yard away, we have the best O Line in football and we should have ran it 3 times and the Steelers would have folded on one of them. Schotty was stupid as hell...
Fixed it for you. It wont change this year. He will lose the Jets 4 games with his play-calling. We just better hope it doesn't happen in the playoffs. Again.
We better rip up the Cowboys, Jags, Raiders, and Ravens to start the season. Get into that Patriots game at 4-0 and hopefully reality hits the Patriots that it wont be as easy as last year, hopefully they have a bad start.
Plaxico wont make our redzone offense that much better...last year's redzone sucking dick was because Sanchez kinda sucked- he had Braylon who's got 3-4 inches on every corner and keller who is a pretty damn good redzone target too. Oh yeah, and Schotty blew. Plaxico will sure as hell not fix Schotty's inability to call good plays.
Not thrilled with any of the choices, although Plax of the 3 seemed the best option to me. Would not touch Moss with a ten foot pole, the guy is a peice of crap as a player and a person. I could see big trouble in the locker room when he starts to slack. Chad would play hard and really is a good person in spite of all the opinions that say different . Just don't know how much he has left in the tank to give. I was just wondering if the Jets have anyone on the pratice squad that would be worth a longer look and trying to develop instead of trying to bring in old outside talent. Heard Adam S. on espn saying the cap would be in the 120 million range and the Jets would be one of 5 teams that will have a hard time working with that number. Just hope that Tanny can work his magic to get us the most bang for the buck. We are so close but I don't want to break the bank on one player when many otherss need to be addressed as well...
Never understood why we never just threw it up to Braylon I mean look at this guy he my whiff but come on man
The 45-3 game was easy for them because the loss of Leonhard took the heart out of the team and the special teams made life worse. The Jets aren't afraid of the Pats anymore. None of us should be.
Moss = one dimentional, vertical threat. Plax = ? (who knows what Plaxico is capable of, it's an expencive coin toss) Chad 8 5 = a shell of his former self (+ expencive) I'm really not sure why everyone seems to be focused on these guys alone when theres plenty of other talent in FA at WR this year. Not to mention other guys that are "risk vs reward" situations. Like: Sidney Rice, what if they can't get him to sign? Steave Breaston, same with him. Vincent Jackson or Malcom Floyd, the talk is they wont be bringing one of them back. Legedu Naanee also is up for FA this year. Some are their careers done type of guys like: Donte' Stallworth TJ Houshmandzadeh Yes they haven't played well lately but they would be cheap, a lot cheaper than the guys in the poll. Other notables: Devin Aromashadu (coin toss, but cheap) Jacoby Jones (solid #3 WR) Mike Sims-Walker (great #2) Santana Moss (my personal favorite)
This is not a bad list at all, the biggest issueis the money that Holmes wants vs Edwards. Would you rather have Holmes and some guy that worked at Pizza Hut or Edwards and another decent wideout. I still say we go with Edwards and Steve Smith from Carolina. Those two along with Cotch and then go with another like Flyod or as you said Santana Moss. Actually I would go with Edwards, S Moss, Cotch and Steve Smith
There's no way we can afford Edwards, Steve Smith, Cotch, and Floyd/Moss. We just drafted 2 WRs and if we keep Edwards or Holmes, I don't see us bringing in two more relatively high priced FAs.
you could sign holmes for less than s.moss and s smith who is already under contract for like 7mil this year i think
