I havent been around her for such a long time...nor do i have thousands of post, but i enjoy reading everyones opinion, no matter what it is. If everyone had the same opinion on what is a stupid post or not, then there would be no board at all. Its nice to hear everyones opinion, and if people contribute by whining about various things...let 'em whine. Its there way of channeling their frustration being a Jets fan. And please if you are just going to start up threads about how stupid other threads are...please just refrain yourself from doing so because this has much less relevance to Jets football than the Mangini thread or any other one
I haven't been here this long - but in my short time here one thing stands out above all else: there really aren't any trolls. they don't get fed by the vets here. Sure there are tons of darksiders - but like someone already pointed out, there's gotta be a yin to complement the yang. The debates stay passionately civil for the most part. Definitely much better than other sites I've been to in the past. The whole thing with the post count is ridiculous. As a newbie, I'd have to say it's a combination of the overall knowledge and comraderie of the posters on this board that had me intimidated at first. The post count isn't an indicator of anything - just a byproduct of an obviously long standing tight community. Feel free to head over to the bunker where at least you would have a reason to get so passionate about your opinion(religion, politics, met-yankee threads). Here in the Jets forum it doesn't pay to get so excited. Remember - like 75% of the world are drama queens that just love to overeact, why would you expect it to be any different here? PS - Champ and Rajensen don't count as trolls. They really believe what they are saying - they are kinda like the Duke and Optimus Prime of Darksiders.
It is annoying and it pisses me off too that people post dumb shit like that. But it is theres dumb posters and bad posters and it gets intense sometimes. You just gotta see past it.
