I can't remember the last time we swept Miami...and they just put a second half beat down on the Patriots
Exactly. One close win over a last place team with a rookie QB and now the Jets are going into Green Bay and beating the Packers.
Some people talk about Ryan's bragging. Some complain he doesn't know offense. Others speculate about some of the doofus roster moves and blame them on Ryan. But for me his failure to gett the team to dominate some bad Miami teams is really the hardest for me to take. He has a losing record against the fish. WTF? And now that Miami seems to be much improved with better OL play, a power running back, and a talented and developing Qb, some here confidently predict a sweep? Gosh I sure hope so, but really?
Don't get me wrong, it should be a tough game. Got to hope a player like Milliner can hold his own against Megatron and our front seven harasses Stafford all game. Control the clock on offense and limit their Time of Possession.
Its still a tough schedule, a win against Oakland doesnt change that. But we can match up pretty well against these mediocre offensive lines and mediocre run defenses. I think we can beat Green Bay, New England, Chicago and San Diego. Doesnt mean me will, but if we win these games, it wouldnt surprise me. I dont like our chances against Denver and Detroit. Maybe Detroit just looked great because the Giants suck, but I dont love that matchup.
Its still an extremely scary schedule ,we barley beat the raiders because of our inability to capitalize
Don't like our chances against the Packers, Broncoes and Lions but I think we can compete with the Patsies, Bears and Bolts.
If we end up 3 -4 after the Pats - as long as those 2 wins are Pats & chargers - everyone should be happy.
Concededly their both losing their openers is not impressive. But SD came on very strong last year, and Rivers looked as good as he ever has. Chicago has some issues with their D, but imo their passing attack is top ten. Last year, SD and Chicago were 4th and5th in passing yards. No reason to think they will be much worse this year.
I guess. San Diego always looks good and then they look shitty again. Chicago is the same way. I think the Jets have a chance against anyone as long as the pass rush is being effective
The Broncos are tough but they are soft as hell, same with Chicago.. Considering the Jets are a physical team and they have played better at home the last few years, I actually feel better about those two home games than I do @GB, NE, @SD. The Detroit game will be tough just because the Jets aren't winning any shootouts and I think they will need to, to beat Detroit with Johnson.
The problem with facing Chicago is their wideouts are so good as a group. If the OL gives Cutler enough time, I don't see the Jets covering those guys.
