Poor HSS. He's been leading this charge for two years, and when the parade finally starts, he's gone missing. :)

To be fair, the lazy bastard is playing out of position...we can't expect him to be a Ted Washington type player. However, it still doesn't excuse how poorly he's been playing. He doesn't look like he even tried to make the most of his opportunities.

It's only a matter of time before the D-Rob Experiment will be over. He's worthless in this system and I'm sure the coaching staff already knows this. I wonder if they can find a team to dump him on. Maybe Herm will be dumb enough to bite. It wouldn't surprise me in the least.

    ....

Sounds like a good idea, let's throw out a buncha 150 pound defensive players, then they'll overpower everyone!

Just another great move in a long line by Bradway. Guess who went in the Jets' original slots, or who they could've had with those picks? ONe is one of the biggest defensive playmakers in the game today (Polamalu), another is arguably the best back in the league (Larry Johnson). And I'll let you "guess" the other one. (Hint: he rushed for 150 yards against us today)

Ok look...I can give Robertson the benefit of the doubt the 1st 2 weeks against Kevin Mawae and Daniel Koppen, both slightly below 300 pounds, but have great technique and are very smart to take advantage of a lazy DRob, who outweighs them as well by 20 pounds...

But Mevlin freaking Fowler?? Their's no way any of us knew who he was, and their is no reason for Melvin to overpower DRob like he did. I can understand next week against Jeff Saturday...But Melvin Fowler!!??

This maybe was Fowler's 5th career start, 3rd as a Bill...And he dominated DRob and paved alot for McGahee up the gut...

    That's a joke.

That's a great post, the thing is Mangini won't put a guy out there that he thinks doesn't deserve to be in the game. ie: J-Mac, Blaylock, if they were in the game today they were invisable.

This is not the Herm regime, warching the game today we were just baffled how a guy like Cotch rode the bench for most of his tenure with Herm. I see PBler out of him in the future.....

Ah yes but you also fail to mention the infamous Bryan Thomas over Ed Reed pick or the great decision to draft Mike Nugent, newsflash Doug Brien missed those kicks but bad coaching cost us that game.

Nobody expected to be him to be Big Ted, we can all agree on that. Washington can cause penetration with 2 blockers on him and blow up a run-play on his own...

BUT. All we're asking, at least myself, is just the ability to take on 2 blockers. Like Moore, he doesn't blow up a play in the backfield with 2 people on him, that's OK by me, BUT he is doing his job by taking on 2 blockers, that's all i'm asking. Just occupy blockers and free up a linebacker.

Jets take the cap hit on the accumulated bonus money. The new team just has to manage the salary figures. Small ray of hope there. Very small.

I think I would like to see DRob try to convert to a 3-4 DE. His size and speed seem more suited to a 3-4 DE.

Naaah. I agree on his motor, he has a high one, but could it really last 30+ snaps a game?

I'll agree that he should get some more playing time, but I don't think he can last starting consistently, but I do love his motor.

I'd like to see him worked in behind Ellis, but other than that all he should be is the spell nose tackle/3rd and long nose. Rashad Moore is so much better and can penetrate even against two blockers, but in order to keep him fresh we need to make him a two down run stuffer. Some of you don't realize how big these guys are and how two plays can quickly wear them down. Robertson shouldn't be benched because we need someone to spell Moore. Vilma had some good plays today, but he did overpursue too much on a lot of runs, so Robertson isn't completely to blame. Shows how much of a waste buying that jersey for $40 over a Coles for $40 last year though.

I agree D Rob Has Been A Bust Since Day 1...we Cant Do Much With Him With A 9million Dollar Cap Figure And Being A First Rounder Who Ws Drafted To Play The 4-3.my Guess Is He Will Not Be Around Next Year And A 350 Pounder Will Be In His Place.i Dont Understand That Dude He Dropped Like 10 Or 15 Pounds This Year Knowing We Were Swithching Tothe 3-4 Dee,i Would Have Thought He Wouldve Tried To Gain 10-15, Still Scratching My Head Over That One.
