Sanchez was throwing the ball really well at Pittsburgh, particularly after he hurt his shoulder and in Chicago. He always seems to struggle after a bye week. I really feel that's why Rex was so torn resting him during the Bills game. It took Sanchez the first half to shake off the cobwebs but, he was 9 for 11 and money in the second half when it counted. Sure we need Sanchez to be huge this Sunday, but, I feel he's going to be just fine. Lastly, I saw a phone booth today with the word Titan glowing in blue. I've never seen that before, so I'm taking it as a sign.
I think the spread is good but a 10 point loss by the Jets IS possible. One reason I don't gamble on sports, it's bad enough losing the game.
wait till sunday...if were down 10 at half time they'll be writing suicide letters and preping their speeches for Beningo Monday afternoon Again as always it comes down to Sanchez. Hes played the Pats 4 times. 2 times he played well...we won. The other 2 times...well we know what happened. For this game I think someone who doesnt watch could tell the outcome just by looking at Marks numbers Monday morning. Pats D is much better against the run than the Colts. And Bellys bread and butter is taking away whatever you do best. There is no way he is going to let Greene and LT beat him. If Im the Pats I sell out on the run and make Sanchez beat Brady.
Nobody's giving us a chance in hell but when the jets are counted dead they usually play it to the very end, They might not win but it will be a game to the end.
This reminds me of the chargers game all over again. I had the same quietly confident feeling going into that game last year. They were also on a long winning streak going into that game I expect the defense to play one of its best games of the year.
We're gonna win this game. We have our 2009 playoff swagger again. You will see the best of the Jets on Sunday. The overconfidence of the pats fans, the way we got spanked in December. It's the making of a perfect upset. This reminds me so much of the 07 pats against the giants as far as mentality .
It is the fucking playoffs and the Jets are playing the fucking pats. You have to have some anxiety over this game. Its the freaking playoffs! Go! J!-E!-T!-S! JETS! JETS! JETS!
Anyone who isn't at least nervous about this game either A) Doesn't know shit about football or B) Doesn't give much of a shit about the Jets There's no such thing as being knowledgeable fan and being assured of victory on any given Sunday, let alone in the playoffs. There's no such thing as being a passionate fan and not being concerned if your team loses, especially in the playoffs. Pick your poison, but both options equally suck.
Strong post bro, and good comparrison of the two situations. No one really gave the Jets a living chance in hell to go into SD, and beat the red hot Chargers... led by Rivers, along with a high powered offensive passing attack. Brady may have tons of weapons in Welker, Branch, Gronkowski, Hernandez, Green-Ellis and Woodhead, but lets not forget; Rivers was also loaded on offense with Gates, Jackson, Floyd, L.T, Sproles and Nene. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but Rivers also had one hell of a season last year. If any defense, can go into the playoffs, on the road, and beat both Manning and the Colts, along with Brady and the Patriots... Its this defense right here; led by Rex Ryan himself.
I said it Saturday. If the Jets go down by 10 before the half its game over. Same theory applies this Sunday.
