He was squatting down to actually trip Nolan. If you look at all the other assistants next to him standing erect, he is the only one that looks like yosemite sam. Embarassing and classless, but it doesn't reflect the entire organization.
It was pretty obvious and a dickhead move. Outside of acknowledging that I think the situation is pretty much done with except for on talk radio.
Players can leave the field of play briefly, they have to re-establish themselves as soon as possible. It was a bush league move and I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets fired him for it. It was stupid and classless, I don't know how you can try to defend this.
Awr youhh kiddin' me!?! DATS OUTRAGEOUS. Rex is lawst. He has LAWST dis team. His coaches are out dere trying to injuh the otah playahs!
the guy should have been in bounds. You can not run out on the sideline. Now did he trip maybe I did not see all the replays but they should have penalized him if true. If he was an offensive coach I would have made him the OC on the spot though. At least he showed some balls. Not smart maybe but balls none the less
how was the dolphins guy hurt after this? they get hit so hard and this guy cant get up after a trip?
I just dont know why he did it considering how awful our blocks had been throughout the game. Hopefully no one is defending this guy even squatting down like that but I just dont get what the gunner was doing. I want to hear both sides to the story though...
I wish Jets fans would stop defending this move. Jonnyd would call you retarded and gay. He would be right.
Looked like a trip to me. Also looked like the Miami gunner should not have been heading downfield running out of bounds on the Jets sidelines. It's not like the Jets coach was on the white paint. If the Miami player was tripped, then he was WAY out of bounds. Classless move that could have been avoided if Miami players knew how to play the game.
I figure the Jets will try to see if it will blow over. It won't, and they'll fine or fire him. The guy is pretty well liked within the Jets org.
The whole explanation of it? Or why the Miami gunner would be so out of bounds originally from his point of view?
if youre interested...[on youtube] /watch?v=h32GjasxOvU&feature=player_embedded The staff member definitely leaned towards him, but did they actually touch?
The Jets got away with a few penalties. But this was totally uncalled for. I remember Bill Cowher doing something like this once. Edwards got away with grabbing Davis' jersey on what may very well have been an int and Bess was clearly cut off on a punt return that led to illegal contact and should have been a 15 yard penalty against the Jets. It's hard to believe they still couldn't win this game.
