Doubt me. I'm sure that I am sitting here making things up and not actually participating in an IMD. It's a game, and while I would post a link to the site as it is only a different message board I won't so you can't go on it and bring your "I KNOW everything" attitude there.

Where's the link? I have no reason to join that board, I like this one.

This is one of those things that is not credible at all without a link. If you provide a link, I have no reason to doubt you.

I know it's not meant to be entirely realistic, because it's a mock but c'mon:

Eric Smith for Ryan Torain and Cory Boyd

Jesse Chatman for a 3rd round pick

    Seriously?!?

It wasn't Jesse Chatman for a 3rd, the Eagles moved up in the 1st round by swapping picks with me and the point differential was their 3rd round pick. I just threw in Jesse Chatman because the Eagles need a power RB to compliment Westbrook+Booker after losing Buckhalter.

As for the Smith trade I never intended on making it, but the Broncos drafted Knowshon and they had expendable RBs. I don't think that trade would happen in real life, but it doesn't have to.

And you're gonna flip when you see this next trade, if it gets approved.

It is a website of an entirely different team, I am a Jets fan but I have also been a Falcons fan for a while.

Even if I gave you the link you would only be able to see the actual draft thread, the draft discussion thread in which some trades are discussed, and the trade approval thread. Most trades are discussed through private messaging, and the threads with the free agents and player signings are old by now so you'd have to dig them up from old pages.

Would it be worth trying to trade for Shawn Andrews (OG)? He missed 08 with a back injury and he suffers from depression....but when he is on his game he is one of the best guards in the league.

I can try to trade for Dockery, Andrews, or Evans and it goes from least difficult to near impossible in that order.

As it is now, this is how I want the rest of the draft to go:

Right now I have traded for:
    From Detroit: Leigh Bodden, CB
From Denver: RBs Ryan Torain and Cory Boyd
    From Jax: Quentin Groves, OLB

    And drafted so far:
    1) Hakeem Nicks, WR
    2a) Sean Smith, CB/S
    2b) Jarron Gilbert, DE
    ______________________
    4) Sammie Lee Hill, NT
    5a) Mike Wallace, WR
    5b) Lee Robinson, ILB/OLB
    6) T.J. Lang, C/OG/OT
    7) Everette Pedescleaux, DE

What does everyone think about from 4 down?

Been a while but only because I don't have a 3rd round pick -- we are approaching the 4th round now so I will be back in action shortly.

There is a trade that has been floating around waiting approval between the Jets and the....Bills.

What would happen is basically I would be off the clock for even longer than I have been, but it would ultimately land the Jets both Lee Evans and Marshawn Lynch. Imagine that offense for a minute.

    QBs: Leftwich/Ratliff/Clemens
    RBs: Marshawn Lynch/Leon Washington/Ryan Torain
    FBs: Tony Richardson/Leonard Weaver
    WRs: Lee Evans/Jericho Cotchery/Hakeem Nicks/David Clowney
TEs: Dustin Keller/Chris Baker (still have him around for now)

NYJ '09 >> BAL '08, and that team went pretty far into the playoffs

EDIT -- The trade has been approved by 1 of the members of the Trade Committee. Waiting on a 2nd approval for it to be official, and then I will post the details.

Now I can't believe I am even asking, because this whole thing is ridiculous....

But how on earth are you getting Lee Evans, and Marshawn Lynch for less than a first round pick and sombody else? Yes I realize every other GM is a complete dumbass in this thing, but still what are you giving up?

I hate these crazy ..free Agent, trade like mad, inter-active mocks. They are useless and make people take advantage of the weak-minded or the uninformed. These mocks are the furthest thing from reality....it's almost laughable.

Maybe I'm biased....I'll take our TGG 7 Rd Mock with no trades. It's alot closer to the real draft . What makes our TGG Mock fun, IMO, the GM's involved are very astute and do their homework, which makes the draft very competitve. It seems this draft GM is involved in, the other participants don't have a clue.....what fun is that? Not much!!!

I'm not into Fantasy Sports, NFL Madden Ratings and these off-the wall trade your Wife and first born for a 1st Rd pick.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it's not my cup of tea. If GM enjoys them....more power to him.

To be honest this trade I like and dislike at the same time. I like it because it would make the Jets offense a Top 5 offense to go with it's Top 5 defense. I don't like it because I am aware that it is unrealistic - but the point here is that each GM can make the moves that they feel best fit their team.

The trade is I would get Lynch, Evans and a 6th for Coles (I still have him since he was released after the IMD started + the Bills were the first team to bring him in after he was released), Stuckey, Thomas Jones, and a 4th. Lynch is going to get suspended after having another run in with the law and the Bills lost Fred Jackson in FA in the IMD so they won't have a good RB for who knows how long -- the Bills were also shopping Marshawn and might still be. The Bills need more WRs and he liked the 2 for 1 deal. If you can imagine the defense I put together with the offense this would give the Jets, the Jets would most likely be the team to beat in the AFC.

If you enjoy the process....no problem. I just don't get it. When all participants are on an equal plane and make trades that make sense, I could live with it.

It's "pie in the sky' stuff that IMO, is a waste of time and energy.

When all of the participants are yourself u can do whatever you want. I havent posted in this thread yet but ive read a couple of things. Not to be mean(really that isnt the intent) but this is probably the dumbest thing ive seen on here in a while. When you have to quote yourself just to have an excuse to bump , i think thats a sign you should stop. I never got the interest of anybody posting in this thread because really whats the point.

Why ask any questions in your post, cause it seems you pretty much have your mind set most of the time when reading ur posts on this board so why bother.

No i didnt read the whole thread but how do we get Lee Evans and Marshawn lynch in a trade, yeah Buffalo trades us their 2 best players on offense for some bus tickets basically.Coles who is old, Jones who is old dont equivilate to 2 young very good players it just doesnt. Also we get Leigh Bodden in a trade who was released by the way, and also get Quentin Groves and Ryan Torain and draft Nicks ,Smith and Gilbert ok watever.

I know its a mock but why even be part of it if every other gm has no idea what they are doing.

Really i am DYING to see where this mock is being held PLEASE pm me or something.(Unless it doesnt exist)

I've been thinking the same thing -- he has to be making this entire thing up.

I asked him to post a link last week and he was quick to say I'd go to that message board and ruin it. Honestly, the only reason I wanted to see a link is because this thing's incredibly far-fetched.

The GM won't post a link because I believe he's created this entire mock scenario himself. I'm glad others are finally calling him out...

You shouldn't participate in mock drafts with drunken 12-year olds.

check the first two pinned topics. the fa signings are old so if you want to invest the time looking on old pages be my guest.

Here is a thread with all of the trades that have been approved so far: http://life.atlantafalcons.com/index.php?showtopic=3832858

lol right, just because I worked the system and moved some older guys for picks or younger guys that fit what we need doesn't mean that the other GMs are stupid or 12. Some of their teams look great too because of their FA signings, trading and drafting.

Completely untrue - I wanted everyone opinions but I got few. And while I have strong opinions on certain players my views can definitely change.

Example - I was pretty set on drafting Sammie Lee Hill when this all started but now I have ruled that out and am leaning toward either drafting Terrance Knighton or Antonio Dixon late or trying to trade for Frank Okam or Ahtyba Rubin for depth at NT and a potential future starter.

You didn't work the system -- you ARE the system. According to those links, you're on the trade committee. This is so, so sad.

    ...you've figured me out.

Stop bumping your own thread and go jump on another team's bandwagon.

    ***

This entire thread is a joke - no one gives a shit. Why can't you realize this?

Sweet sig by the way...I'm flattered that you wanted everyone to see the best part of recent PM.

I only post in this forum maybe 2-3 times a year, sometimes less...

I'd just like to use this rare Draft Forum post to say that this thread sucks.

You can't vote on your own trade for obvious reasons. I thought maybe you were slightly smarter than that, but it appears as if I have given you too much credit.

And I did appreciate that part of your PM, it made me laugh a good amount and I figured everyone could use a little laughter.
