I've found you have to wait a day or so after a game, especially a loss, for the initial insanity to subside.

And he'll play for $10 and a new pipe. Easily under the cap.

Bring back Ray Lucas. I wouldn't mind watching him get smacked around sometimes when I catch him on SNY.

"Maybe we can get Russel before Oakland signs him..."

I'm sure someone would think to post that if Clemens plays and does bad.

You are probably right. Nothing will surprise me.

You know, in 2005, when things were flat-out hopeless, I still remember there were many who said we would recover and they hung in there until it was quite obvioous they really were hopeless.

Things are not even close to that level yet. Now, if Clemens looks like Jay Fiedler's C3PO imitiation after the Ravens game, things will begin to look somewhat anxioius, but we still have Chad - I still say we are OK, even with him.

We just need the O-line and the D-line to play better - a lot better, and things will pick up.

Obviously, if Chad and Clemens are injured and we have to rely on Tui things are not looking good at all. First because for both of our QB's to be injured says that something is sadly wrong with our team - like the O-line for instance. Tui does not have the legs of a Brooks Bollnger so he too will suffer.

What I am trying to say is we are a quantum leap away from 2005.

My gut feeling on Kellen Clemens against the Ravens is it will look something like this at the end of the day:

    28 attempts, 15 completions, 168 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT, 4 sacks.

The Jets are not going to be able to run against that defense at all. I'm guessing we'll see a few 3 and outs before Schotty adjusts and starts throwing on 1st down.

With Chad the line would have looked like this:

9 attempts, 6 completions, 48 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 2 sacks and out of the game.

And no, I'm not being facetious or piling on, Chad does not have the mobility with a sprained ankle to avoid getting knocked out of the game. That's a good enough reason right there not to start him.

Vinny: Sorry, but I'm with the Pats now. Could I work with you guys on a part-time basis?

I was major Matt Leinart going into the draft...But was actually fine with Brick, helping the Oline...

Now, i'm not going to play the hindsight game, because I did that with Reed/Thomas...

And where does it get you?

Vinny's smarter than that. He lived through 2005 behind a line not much worse than this one.
