maybe we can sign Eric Ogobogu on a reunion tour to fill our quota for consonant and vowel versatile roster names plus how could you not sign a player who protects his house
'Ihedigbo - 'Im no longer a new York jet wish it was other wise but they don't want me back!!'' - 8/9/11 Ex-Patriots we have signed: Kevin OConnell - I read that we grilled him pretty hard. Rex named him a team captain and sent him out for the coin flip for no other purpose than to tweak the Patriot's nose and I loved it. Shawn Crable Larry Izzo - a fan favorite much like Ihedigbo Matt Chatham ---- I hate Belichick and the Patriots as much as any of my friends.. but I can also put my homerism aside enough to be somewhat objective about the football side of things. Belichick is well known that he loves smart, versatile players that he can plug into different roles. Believe me, it was a stab in the heart when we lost Woodhead who has both of those things in spades. I loved that scrappy little shit. Teams sign other team's players. Are you also going to take your logic a step further and state that the Patriot's are signing so many ex-Bengal and Raider players.. just so they can steal their playbook?
Yeah, pretty much agree there. Most people here wanted all three of these guys on our roster. Woodhead never got any real playing time here n that's why people r quick to dismiss him. The story about how he was signed was very popular here. Without a doubt, he'll be ur biggest play making Ex-Jet. I think u guys overpaid for Shaun, but most likely had no other way around it to lure him from the rivals. Digs is not going to make thecut IMO. If he does, he'll be a STer. Ryan used his speed in blitzed him regularly, but his liability in coverage wasn't worth the risk. Even an RB can knock him off his feet. Blitzing him everytime would've given Ryans scheme of disguising the blitz away. I think Digz only use to the Pats would be to pick some inside info on the Jets secondary assignments. These moves have nothing to do with being scared of the Jets. But the 85 n fat Albert trades were clear signs that the Pats wanted to have WRs where they get a mismatch against the Jets. They wanted a guy who can run precise routes, has great hands, and can contribute immediately when the Jets try to bring the house on Brady. Let's face it, Rex has given Pats the most trouble in this league n Pats team is useless if Brady fails (which is probably about one or two games a yr) Fat Albert is not going to dominate Jets in anyway. Nowhere near the player he used to be in Ten.
The reason for the signing is very simple. That Pats signed a big, slow. hard hitting S, who can play special teams to replace a big slow hard hitting S who can play special teams, that got injured on Thursday(Brett Locket) I don't think the fact that he played for the Jets and anything more to do with his signing than the fact that he grew up in the UMASS area and played there. The Pats have two S's who are currently on the PUP list (Sanders, Barret) If both are ready to play by the start of the season, it is very unlikely that he'll make the roster. . ;;;;;and as for the snide comments about Woodhead. Jet fans should be more concerned about the 60 rushing yds in 6 carries he got (mostly up the middle, no draws). than wicked hit he took. BTW- it was a great hit, if it wasn't legal it should be. And by all reports he's fine. Also its fair to question whether he should of should not have been in there at that time. But that's BB. Maybe it was an oversight and some assistant coach forgot to take him out. One thing for certain, BB isn't going to throw him under the bus. He took the heat with the press.
FUCK THE PATRIOTS! I don't give a shit where these players sign. It's their choice and they become the enemy when they play us. So fuck 'em. Now let's got get a g_ddamn snack!
