Zach staring down his target for seconds probably helped them. Regardless of what's called, as you say, he needs to know better than to do what he did so the play call doesn't stand out to me. Just hope he can get back on the field soon so we can see if that was just a blip that happens to all QBs sometimes or a sign that he doesn't have what it takes
It doesn’t matter whether he wants to come, he doesn’t have any trade protection. If he’s traded he’s coming. but I wouldn’t trade for him unless the 49ers throw in a 3rd round draft pick at the least l. He hasn’t been traded because no other team believes he’s worth paying $20 million for this season. If the 49ers want to get that off the books they need to throw in some sweatener to the pot. The 49ers have a greater financial incentive to want to get rid of him than he offers a competitive incentive for a team to take him; he’s not good enough to be worth even a mid round pick and have to pay.
