He doesn't trust the safeties to close & based on what we've seen thus far I don't blame him. Keep everything in front in coverage & hope the DL can make a play. Problem is..DB's haven't been tackling either. So basically..the whole Defense is ineffective
The DL can't make a play if it's a 3 step drop and the ball is out. They would have to get in the backfield within one second of the snap. If teams are going to continue to dink and dunk with these 3 step drops we have to adjust and press. I've seen us press this year, just at the completely wrong time. Week one vs Cincinnati when Marcus Williams got smoked on a 3rd and 18 or week 2 when revis got torched on 3rd and 13 by Goodwin.
