Nah that is the darksider in you. 2 OL 1 FB 1 speedy WR 2 DL 1 OLB 1 CB 1 S That is nine players that are a must. Obviously any position on the team can stand to be upgraded but with those 9 spots adequately filled AND Clemens emerges as the Qb of this team and this team can contend. Imo Clemens emerging as a top QB is the biggest if, if he doesn't it will be years before we contend again. If he does then we can contend again in the next two years.
How do you come by that math? Both no common sense & no math skills you certainly have impressive credentials I must say. I said 8 starters on D + say 6 on O that totals 14 so where the heck did you come up with 40 but certainly if you could find an upgrade for every player on the roster then sure you should do it
You just said you only cared about the NYJ's though. By comparing them to other teams all the time, you are contradicting yourself.
But champ said he only cares about the NYJ's, but he contradicts himself in every post by always bringing up other teams. Personally I think he's a closet Pats' fan.
We DID NOT AGREE you F'N retard. You think 8 of 11 on D must go. I think the number is lower. That is NOT AGREEING you SFNR.
Rhodes, Revis and Harris stay. Maybe Thomas for Depth. Who else would you keep if we are going to run a 3-4?
Bowens and whoever we draft should be the OLB's. Bowens has a great motor when he's in there. He showed a lot of aggressiveness which we need. We need a NT and a DE on the line, although I liked what CJ Mosley and Pouha did in limited time. Coleman did his job, but Ellis was constantly engulfed, he's just not big enough to play 3-4 end. I think Mosley and Pouha should get more playing time because they were hungry when they were put in. I actually like Elam because I love aggressive safeties, and that allows Rhodes to roam the field more. I think we need a new NT, a DE, an OLB, and a CB. You would be surprised with how much more effective the rest of the defense would be with an upgraded DL and a passrushing OLB.
All you mentioned are not either full time starters just plain old run of the mill players that are not what we need to get us to the SB so they are negatives not positives. I can see from your reply you do not yet know what assets are (see Revis-Harris-Rhodes) vs all the other negative starters the NYJs presently have on D. I guess it is that common sense thing or maybe to explain it another way you cannot see the forest from the trees. Maybe some years from now you will be able to tackle debits & credits
I think all of the guys you mentioned would be best served at backup players. In my opinion we have to get way better at all of the other positions to have a shot. If you go through the players on our defense vs the other defenses of the top teams in the league there is a huge gap in talent.
Really are you telling me something that is not known? What does that mean anyway when it is the NYJs stupidity that allowed what happened to happened. BTW you also are a zero on my common sense meter. Also why do you constantly defend a organization & team that has gone 0-39 in bringing us a championship?
And the line that every team passes on a player is straight from your playbook: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=496886&postcount=54 http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=496935&postcount=59 http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=496968&postcount=67 There are many more, but I think this proves my point.
I didn't say Pouha and Mosley should start you retard...I said I liked what I saw of them in the limited time they had and they should see more playing time to help them develop. See, you have moronic notion that players can't improve and get better with more coaching and playing time. That is just wrong. Both showed ability and yes, that is a positive. You think we need probowlers at every position. If you want that, just go root for the Patriots since you obviously love them so much.
Coleman and Elam are fine as starters. The other guys I mentioned I think are backups now, but definitely showed some fire and ability when given the chance, and could develop. I never said Pouha and Mosley should start, but are definitely valuable backups.
Elam and Colemen are serviceable but it has alot to do with who we have at the other positions. I would like to see more of Elam actually.
