Considering they passed on him five times, as did everyone else, and were 5-13 with Bellichick before he got in, I'd say it was luck. Kraft was also the Patriots owner when Hess got Parcells, Bellichick and the whole staff away from them and beat their ass for a few years, too, winning five straight years in Foxboro.
Until you find what's left of your balls and respond to questions posed to you by other people here, you'll get no answer from me. Be a man for once in your life and stop being a coward.
Yes he is a important cog but how silly were we to let him pass by 5 times & instead pick CP as a #1. Think BP & staff blew that one huh?
People who live in the glass house shall not throw the stones which is what you are doing. Since you mentioned no other positives at that time to me that meant you had no more which I agree with. That means 8 starters from the last game last year need replacing. Pretty tall order to find 8 good players in one year not just semi decent one to use Randy Crosses words
No, luckier, which is KS's point. But you're too thick to get that, all you know is what you see with your 20/20 hindsight. If the Pats were so smart, why did they need Mo Lewis crushing Drew Bledsoe to put Brady in the game? Wouldn't they have put him right in, like Elway or Peyton Manning?
No, you assumed that's what I meant. I gave you two examples of positives that I saw, not all of the positives that I saw. This whole thing is futile though because trying to have a conversation with you is like talking to either a two year old or a retarded person...pointless.
Actually this is the reply I expected Demur, more demur & more, more demur. Most probably the reason is there are NO other positives amongst our starters on D at least none that I can see. So again bottom line is we have to find 8 "good" players for next season not semi decent ones using Randy Crosses words
Maybe they were going to make the move anyway from Bledsoe to TB just had not filtered out the word yet. Drafting comes down to smarts who knows maybe the Pat brains said no need to worry nobody will be snatching up TB so we will pick him in the 6th round. We were STUPID because we are going to pick a QB in that year draft & decided on CP rather TB. That ranks right up there with KOB ove DM
No, it's not even close because Marino and O'Brien were both first rounders and Marino had a much more distinguished college career than Brady did. Miami never passed on Marino, New England passed on Brady five times. You have no answer for that, champ, nor do you have an answer for why they didn't put him right in as a rookie if they knew how good he'd be. Speculating that "Maybe they were going to make the move anyway from Bledsoe to TB just had not filtered out the word yet" is not an answer. It's not a fact, not an answer, not even a good guess. Too bad Randy Cross didn't cover this one for you, huh? Because on your own you know nothing about football.
At the time Drew Bledsoe gave them as you have said on thousands of occasions (THEIR BEST CHANCE TO WIN) because he was a proven Vet with all the Cp intangibles and better stats to justify not switching to Brady. The Pats were lucky enough to get their big break to end the Bledsoe era courtesy of Mo Lewis!
No, I found other positives. Answer the questions posed to you by other people and I'll gladly tell you them all. But I know since you are an infantile little coward, you won't. Prove me wrong.
Nope since you repeatly charge with me with being negative it is up to you to pull other postives out of your magic hat. I have ALREADY said I have NO others which means for me we have to change out 8 starters from last year team. That is most obvious for knowledgeable FB fans to see
Sure I do stupidity on the part of our FO but you will not accept that. Choosing CP over TB was as big as mistake as KOB was over DM no matter which round they were draft in. Could you imagine using the pick on CP on somebody else & scoffing up TB in the 3rd round? Maybe for once we would have hit the daily double. For sure our R & D dept was snoozing at the switch during that draft.
Wait a minute. Stupidity on the part of our front office is why New England passed on Brady five times and didn't play him until they had to? Once again, you do not have an answer.
Champ, can you PLEASE humor the rest of us and answer this one, glaring question. What kind of job did you hold before they brought you to "the home?"
No the Pats were cagey they had listening bugs installed in the other 31 teams war rooms so they knew that they would be able to snatch him in the last round.
