Buddy Ryan would be better than both of them

Playing in Giants Stadium for the past 30 years might as well move to Oakland and move back

I am amazed by how many think he walks on water when it comes to defense. It is a big world out there and the NFL has a lot of good coaches at the assistant. DC, and OC, levels. We are all replaceable.....especially Rex.

Look, there's a million football coaches out there. Some of them if given the opportunity could do a good job and be excellent NFL coaches. We're talking about seasoned NFL Asst. Coaches plus current NCAAF head coaches. The idea that only Rex can coach this team- that there is no one out there as good as him-and that if he leaves he'll be great somewhere else-is balderdash. Sounds like the same kind of thinking we used to hear about Mark Sanchez. Rex was given a great chance to coach up this team and you saw the results last Sunday. You can complain about the talent if you wish-I think we have .500 talent-but the coaching element on this team is sub par.

I wish I could give you two likes for using balderdash. :D

But yeah, I agree with everything you said. Rex's koolaid is really powerful stuff.

I totally agree. I think the fans who think that Rex is a great coach and the only one who can coach our D are delusional and blind/deaf to the realities of the situation. They're so in love with his personality that they're unwilling/unable to see the results on the field, just as he is.

You're delusional. The highlight of Herms defenses was Damien Robinson bringing an assault rifle to the stadium. You also clearly don't remember not being able to stop the run under Herm or Mangini.

perfect way to describe the defense, don't bend but break i.e. give up 3rd and 9s all the time to potentially get 1 or 2 sacks a game

He's s good coach. Currently OC of Iowa State after getting fired by Kansas. But the only HC of Kansas who was able to turn it around. Charlie Weiss couldn't and just got fired.

lol, intelligent response. herm made the p/o's 3 out of 5 seasons with us.....and you talk about some player/thug and an automatic rifle.

did herm have a top defense?? no, but he didn't let his head get to him about being a top 3 ranked defense, he cared about how many pts. other teams scored on us....which is the opposite of what rex believes in....to rex it's all about being ranked number 1, so he can where a shirt saying it when he plays the ravens in softball....
