Certainty? I don't think you know what that word means. I'll wait until they are 1-5 before getting mad. For all we know they end up 3-3. Arizona started 1-3 as well.
MJ, you post on another site? Anyway I think they ought to get petty ready if they are not already...he needs reps and I agree he should be #2. AS for HC, if Fitz keeps making mistakes and HC doesn't bench him then his seat will be very hot.
I had us down for 1-5 (maybe 2-4 if we could catch the Bengals cold at home) with the key game being the Ravens (although Arizona/Stanton might be possible). If we're 2-5 going into the Browns game I could see us 5-5 by the bye (although Rams have been better then expected) then it's really a case of splitting the Patriots and we could still get to 10-6 IF we can fix some of our mistakes.
I'm predicting the worst season since the infamous 1996 season. If we go 4-12, it's better than I'm expecting. I'm thinking 2-14. I say we beat the Dolphins once and that's it.
If we go 1-5 then football season just became drinking season(as if it hasn't already) for those who still go to the games.
If we're 1-5, someone is sure as hell not getting the beard trimmer I bought him at SkyMall for Christmas!
If we are 1-5 , this will just confirm what many of us already knew, spending 12 million on Fitz was a complete fucking waste as we could have done that with any QB on the roster including Hack. The plan should be to give Geno at least 5-6 starts to really see if he has any future in this league, and if he still can be a viable backup and worth trying to sign to try and compete with Petty. I do not think the Jets will go into next season with just Petty and Hack, so they will need someone else regardless, if he knows the system and has improved he will be a better option than someone off the NFL QB scrap heap. If by some miracle, we are still in some sort of playoff chase then you stick with Geno. If Geno completely shits the bed, Petty gets to ride out the season to gain game experience for next year and the Jets will be looking for a vet backup in the off season. If Geno is good to average, but the team is cooked, you can still give Petty the last of the season, with enough knowledge that you can make Geno an offer to stay.
We were always going to be 1-5 or 1-6, all you had to do was look at the schedule..unfortunately I doubt they have any plan.
Nope, the Geno haters would rather throw Geno out and start Petty or Hackenberg too early thus ruining them. Let's not use logic here. No one would understand it. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Like he has a winning record against any team.He was also 1-8 against Rex Ryan and that turned out good.He is a losing QB.
Plan A could have been: tread water thru the first 6 games, then make a run over the last 10. Plan B could have been: Take the losing record over the first six, break even over the last 10, then pray to make the playoffs. Hopefully, there's a Plan C somewhere in the pipeline.
