Seattle is thinking it'll be a walk in a park. I mean how can lowly Jets resist them?! Speaking about perseption... I need to lock "Seattle - whatever" for like $100 while it lasts.
Seahawks are well coached and a very good team,,,they are banged up and that includes the qb but I just can't see us beating them banged up or not ! I would love to be wrong and will root like heck for our Jets but 1 and 3 looms . This would give us 2 afc losses and 2 losses at home w ith our only win coming against the lowly Bills . That blown game on opening day sure looks pretty big right now !
i would rather be heading into this weekend 2 and 1 .......2 and 2 we could bounce back from but 1 and 3 and we are on life support
Not to mention its EXTREMELY likely the Bengals and Chiefs get the wildcard spots. 1-3 is livable but not when 2 of those 3 are to the teams fighting for a wild card. It's a done deal.
IF being the key word, the Jets are 1-5, gotta play Petty IMO. Geno is not the future of this team and giving him reps over finding out what Petty can do when they're firing real bullets at him is more important than fighting for 6 or 7 wins. At some point this team HAS to get the right guy under center. Arguments can be made to never tank a season and they're legit, but finding out what Petty is/can be is more important...
Pitt got lit up because Wentz is already a better QB than Fitpatrick is, the guy was outstanding against a very good Pitt defense. They could not rattle him, he is crazy accurate, and he has a cannon for an arm, 2 things Fitz does not have. I was wrong about Wentz, I did not think he was going to be a good QB, I thought average and jumping around from team to team. You are right though, the jets could get on a roll and surprise people.
To be fair he wasn't even getting quality reps in practice. He's a redshirt by need this year. Even if the season has gone totally in the toilet I seriously doubt he's ever activated due to the lack of reps alone. Next year is when he'll really begin taking quality reps and start competing. I'm sure this year his only job is to know the playbook inside out and take as many mental reps as possible.
Wow people are just realizing now that 1-6 is a possibility? Where were they months ago when the schedule was released?
Yeah him and Bryce and whatever new rook we bring along will probably compete... Would you happen to know how long Chan Gailey is here for? By the time he gets one of the QB's he's been grooming to play he'll be retired... again.
I actually can't find a specific number on Gailey. I'd imagine that coordinators usually get 3 year deals but totally ballparking it.
I actually think the colts are morons and a joke of an organization, they had Peyton Manning, only won one SB, and now have Andrew Luck, and have done dick to build around him, and get him killed weekly.
Are they really a smart team? Didn't they trade a first round pick for Trent Richardson? Didn't they let their offensive line go to shambles? The only redeeming quality about that team right now is Andrew Luck. I don't think that qualifies the Colts as a smart team.
The Steeler's D has been suspect the last couple years. They have been good against the run, but they are near the bottom of the league against the pass and mid 20s overall at best. They are a team that relies on a powerful offense and passing game. If Philly's D can hold them to 3 points, the Jets can have success as well.
this is what i said before the season. even if we make it out 3-3, we should be looking to get some of these young QBs some reps. this isnt a playoff team. last year was fools gold. this is an 8 win team... give an 8 win team an easy schedule and you get 10 wins(last year) give it a tough schedule you get 5-6 wins(this year) we are still in the middle of the rebuild. bringing in some older talented vets gave us a better chance to win games, but this team still isnt a contender.
yup... who knows, maye one of the young qbs show something. look at dak prescott, he wasnt taken very high and is playing solid football. plenty of weapons here to help a young qb
