Don't worry I dropped Penny from my Fantasy Team, I think that jinxed him earlier, he should be coming back with a vengence
another scenario: what if we win a close game by good Special Teams play and stout Defense, yet Pennington plays like crap (i.e. Chicago and Cleveland) in which he isn't the reason the Jets win; rather, they win in spite of him. do you still give him the nod, or look to Clemens? cheers
This senario is a good one, but I think they go to the back up before the 3rd stringer. But if its a win then I think mangini will still stick with chad!
Look even if we lose two more games, we're going to get the Wild Card. The Broncos gave up on their wild card spot, they're starting Cutler from Week 13. So assuming they win tomorrow night, they'd be 8-3, and since Cutler is a rookie, he will lose the next 5 games, and they'll finish 8-8. At 9-7, we'd get in! As long as the Jaguars, Chiefs and Bengals don't finish better than that of course. Haha stupid Broncos, don't they know that starting a rookie QB is giving up the season? What is Shanahan doing out there? Obviously he isn't nearly as smart as the average Jets message board poster.
It really is interesting that a team that's 7-3 can bring themselves to bench their underperforming QB for a rookie, yet the 5-5 Jets would be "throwing the season away" according to many posters on the board. Pennington and Plummer have very similar stats this year as well, with Pennington's looking a little better on paper because he dumps the ball off so much. Good post.
You stick with Chad until were out of contention. That's it. But I think were gonna have a big Sunday.
