umm i think we could get away with three backs... just have a fresh pair of legs and different situations for different players.... we did once upon a time have cedric houston so that would of mad three backs
Here's the way I look at it. NO already had Duece, himself a first round pick, and STILL drafted Bush. Thomas Jones is no Deuce, not now, not ever. There's absolutely no reason that you can't have 3 different kinds of backs to serve multiple purposes. TJ has 3 years left on his deal, assuming he is sold for 2 years as they work DMC into a role, along with Leon. In 2 years DMC takes over the bulk of the carries with TJ assuming a situational role. Leon contributes on special teams the entire time and chipping in on offense.
Jones will still carry the load just not as much. Mcfadden will wear the defense down, and Jones will get the tough yards.
