Winning cures all. The fact remains that Sanchez DID make some progress in his 3rd season in spite of an iffy o-line, absolutely no deep threat & an offensive coordinator situation that had become very tired. Despite all these so called "issues" within the locker room, this team went 8-8 and was a few bounces away from being in the playoffs once again. Sanchez is not lazy. Everything you read about the guy suggests he's a gym/film rat and is always trying to get better. All this talk about him being "Hollywood" is just ridiculous. It's not like he's partying at nightclubs all night long. The guy occassionally goes to charity events and broadway shows. He IS allowed to have a life outside of football. Perhaps he needs to make some adjustments to HOW he prepares..but I do not think work ethic is an issue. The one thing that DOES concern me: I don't see him as a vocal leader. i still see a laid back mildly shy kid, who doesn't appear to have it in him to get into someone's face like Holmes. In this type of market, for this franchise..I believe you need that out of your QB. It's time for him to man up and become a true leader.

They played like crap this year and I can see how it'd be tough to walk onto that field knowing that the guys blocking for you suck so badly you are going to get murdered every sunday." There's nothing in the article to suggest the players were on the o-line. The line, "I think that's a lack of confidence in how we’re protecting him," that doesn't necessarily refer to an o-lineman at all. If someone had said, "As a team, we're just dropping too many balls," it wouldn't necessarily be a wideout talking. Any player on either side of the ball would use "We" in that circumstance.
The end of the article featured a quote responding to Peyton coming here and it really ended up being a further indictment on how Rex has lost the team.
Gerald Alexander chimes in. Granted I think he is trying to say all the right things so he doesn't get cut
Bunch of pussies. Anonymous players, unnamed sources.....grow a pair of balls. You think Holmes and Scott were two of the unnamed players?? I even have less respect for Journalists reporting this crap.
This article sums up our biggest issue right now and it has nothing to do with what is actually written. There is zero unity on this team. It's a bunch of assholes who only care about themselves. If this happened on the pats, you know that bellichick finds that person and they are out of work ASAP. This nonsense needs to stop now. Guys need to tighten it up and stick together. This is a Rex and Sanchez problem. Step up and put these clowns in line.
It really is disgusting - Rex needs to demand who made this statements and cut them immediately. There is obviously no chance for TEAM unity with these cowards in the locker room. Unbelievable.
Because with all those two receiver routes, there were so many options to throw to and it was so tough to lock down those two receivers.
I hope P Manning does not come here, Unless they really make some serious changes to our Offensive Line he would not last a game or two... How can people blame mark for this year,, The guy was running for his life every friggen play... Did anyone watch the games... How can he even throw the ball 20 or 30 yards when he was either sacked or knocked down or running for the sideline.. HOLY CRAP you all want Pyton here,, If I was him I would say not in this lifetime and would you really blame him. We have a lot of work to do,, BUT it has to start with protection of the QB. OL must MUST get better that is your bread and butter and this year we got shit on plate.
Who did you hear it from though-the coaches. Not really the players. Remember hard knocks when, as a second year player, he didn't even know where they kept the fucking playbooks? Maybe Mark works hard relative to other NFL QBs. Maybe he doesn't. We don't know but the people who do (his coaches and teammates) really aren't likely to tell the truth about this; it's like rule one of the NFL to protect the QB.
Jesus Christ man, Rex absolutely lost this team, I mean lost it completely. I have never heard a team react this way after an 8-8 season.
wow absolutely gutless. If I were rex I would talk to EVERYONE of the players and find out who made those quote and cut them in front of the whole team. you don't talk about the qb like that.
"Sanchez dips his toes in hot sauce. None of the teammates, including me which I would not like to be named, hates this during warmups."
A significant percentage of posters here limit their comments to shooting the messenger, criticizing the media and their sources. This is Manish we are talking about, not Cimini. How does criticizing the media amount to a basis for concluding what is in the story is not true?
