I dont believe the "lazy" tag at all - never seen anything to suggest Mark is lazy - i have plenty of issues with his play and so on but i would never accuse him of being lazy - i suspect its more a case of players not being able to articulate themselves very well and what he is trying to get across is that there is no-one challenging Mark and so he is too comfortable rather than he is lazy per se That said, I, too, resent Sanchez (with his $50m contract and awesome life).
You are right about work ethic being praised for 2 years but I want to point out something. My favorite MLB team is the Red Sox, yes I am from New York but love my Sox. Everyone loved this team since 2004, then look what happened this year, big time shitting the bed in Sept and the truth came out about all the bullshit. This sounds just like the crap with the Jets and Mark to be honest, minus the beer and chicken in the locker room of course.
Honestly, it sounds like opposing fans trolling this board: Lazy. Soft, at least in terms of criticism. Low football IQ. Saying he didn't do much in playoff wins. That has to sting.
err, WRONG!!!. That's an indictment on the head coaches ability to keep the players on a leash, something Rex has a problem with... Rex IS the one who has to CHANGE how he handles players, he's NOT a DC anymore he's the HC & he better start acting like it or he'll be gone & the SOJ will still be here.
When your QB stands in the pocket and takes 87 years to decide who he is going to throw it to, and then telegraphs who his receiver will be, you would have a hard time keeping your blocking up too. his Oline was not that bad, many other teams have far worse Olines than NYJ, The Oline cant fix stupid. I hate when I see crap like this. According to this well respected beat writer, multiple sources, INCLUDING SOME PLAYERS gave this information up. They didn't do it because the are jealous of Marks money, or lifestyle. They did it because they are frustrated with what they see from him and want to win. Get out of denial! Exactly, you never hear bad things until there is a losing season, or an epic meltdown. Boston is still trying to recover from the damage inflicted after this melt down, and a lot of stories came out that all later proved to be true. Where there is smoke, there is fire. That being said though, the beer and chicken in the clubhouse has been happening for years. One of the biggest stories was the lack of team chemistry, teamwork by the pitching staff.
When you're winning you tend to sweep things under the rug, hey if it ain't broke... but losing brings out all those things that were kept under the carpet.
What???... trolling fans??? ... did you watch ANY of the games this season??? We didn't play a COMPLETE game in ANY of them, & if you bring up the Jaguars game, that was a joke, their QB gave that game away.
What the hell does that have to do with being a leader? Absolutely amazing that Jets players can say these things about their QB. Even if half of them are true, Sanchez will be out of the NFL in 3 years.
Agreed. This conflicts in what we were heard the first two years of teammates saying he was in before everyone else and his work ethic. Now we wait and see next year how the team does and see what to make of what we heard.
To counter that, nobody ever said they were hard working. They were called the band of idiots if I remember correctly? The offense never took that type of role or anything. The closest thing was calling the WR's the flight boys. During those years where everyone loved them, they were loved because they were carefree and loose. There were never reports of them coming in early and leaving late. I understand the example you are saying, losing brings out the worst, but I think we have a different scenario.
I dont really understand what it was with my post that you found so much to object to? All I said was I dont see Mark as being "lazy" and I suspect that the "lazy" comment (which appears only once) is inaccurate?
I thought the comment at the end of the post I quoted from you, "That said, I, too, resent Sanchez (with his $50m contract and awesome life)." was implying that the only reason players/sources were saying anything at all was not due to play, but due to jealousy over his lifestyle and contract. My bad if you did not mean that.
I really wonder who gave the quotes. Recall when Mawae spoke up against Pennington, he got his ass shipped down to the Titans (for better or worse). FWIW on the lazyness issue, I certainly hope that Sanchez is being lazy because if he's really putting in all those hours in the film and weight rooms and getting those results on the field, then we better start looking for a new QB.
No, it was just a little joke on my part lol I know what you mean - better to have something easy to correct like laziness than an apparent lack of actual ability.
Its another Blind Item which i just can see as bullshit to sell papers, or get hits . Whenever i read the unidentified source kind of quotes I always have to question motive and I usually don't give them much weight. If they want to say something , say it like a man don't scratch for it like a dog .
