Are you kidding me with this? A grown man is going to jeopardize his own job and another player's safety over some grudge? Come on. Besides I dont understand all these Wayne Hunter theories. He was the one who called out Holmes in the huddle and Hunter is simply in no position to criticize anyone. Why would you think this? Its a couple punk-ass mofos like Holmes and Cromartie (total speculation on my part to blame Cromartie but I just have this inkling) who are running this shit show. I can't stand when football turns into a soap opera.
That is dead on! I believe there's a GIF floating around that shows the receivers running their routes and they are completely blanketed.
Yes total fail on that theory, both hunter and mangold have come out in Sanchez defense accepting responsibility, if anybody should be suspected of turning on Sanchez it has to be the low life Holmes ( not that I have any evidence) or some defender that think that the 3 and outs makes his job thou her.
Bunch of Media Bull shit if you ask me...... Ask most NBA players in his prime if they would to play with Jordan.... WTF would they say?????? Ask an NFL WR if he'd like to play with a HOF and one of the best QB's ever If healthy - WHAT THE #### IS HE GOING TO LEGITIMATELY SAY???????? So, without knowing exactly what consitutes "coming out against mark" it's ####...... Then I see comments like Derick Mason "The Jets aren't going to win if Mark Sanchez doesn't play better than last year" REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my what a freaking attack. My god. If we frame the questions the right way I'm pretty sure we can get anyone in that locker room to Rip any aspect of the NY Jets last year and that's because every single facet of the team SUCKED.... Everyone can get ripped for last year But, of course the media will fram questions and pick and choose it to mean what they want and right now the target is Mark.... Fine with me, he deserves it as much as ant aspect of the team so, he'll most likely use it to work his ### off..... Bullshit or not... it will all come down top Mark on the field next season!
Since Manish wrote the story I would want to hear from him how many players and not ESPN. I don't trust ESPN because they only report stories to push their own agenda.
Just to add to the "is Mark lazy" debate: Slauson: “Mark is the hardest-working quarterback I’ve ever played with. He puts in more time than anyone. Ever since he came in he’s been all about improving the team and winning. His whole life is about making the Jets the No. 1 team in the NFL.” Mangold: "That’s the thing that really bothered me about the article,” Mangold said on “The Michael Kay Show.” “It was saying that he was lazy and didn’t put the work in, felt complacent. It couldn’t be more further from the truth. The guy puts in more work and more time, cares more about the team than anybody else in that locker room. For someone to come out and say that and not put their name behind it really bothered me.”
Yeah, I am sure if you asked players if they want another qb over Revis, they would all say sure. Or if you ask them if they want another center over Mangold, they would say the same. Sanchez apologists have to realize this is a legit story because we have one of the worst starting QB's in the NFL. And with careers being short, and guys having been to within a half, and a drive, of a SB, they dont want to waste chances because of Sanchez. And make no mistake, he showed last year that if the defense and hb are not carring this team, he has almost no shot of winning games, especially against decent defenses. And honestly, lets hope he is not the QB. Because if he couldnt take the pressure down the stretch last year, if you allow him to start the first game after an off-season of getting destroyed, you are asking him to go 13-32 for 100 yards and 4 int.
Sanchez has 2 years left on his contract, he is not going anywhere the next 2 years. The chances the Jets pick up Manning are probably less than 1%.
No... You cherry picked the 2 players we have at All -Pro level - Now ask a player on any other team if they would want Revis..... Many Many would say HELL YEAH, and that would have absolutely nothing to do with their feelings for the CB in place today. Same with Mangold - I'd suspect over 3/4 of the league would love him on their team - does that mean they think their Center is Crap.... Umm, no... And as for apologist I NEVER FREAKING WANTED SANCHEZ - I was anti Sanchez before it was cool and before the draft even happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, at this point, as with any young QB, he gets ONE MORE SEASON and you try to set him up to succeed the best you can.....ALL this Media BS and Players yappin and whatever is all CRAP because ALL that matters is what happens this season with Sanchez and the offense ON THE FIELD..... I see guys like Micheal kay saying crap like "WHERE IS WOODY? WHERE IS REX"... Hello, these guys are working their tails off trying to improve their team - Getting involved in a media / fan soap opera does no good right now- Media and fan perception and "answering" every little media scoop is a waste - they need to work, study the draft and FA as well as coaches and work to improve the TEAM not, your or anyone else's perception. And As much as I dislike Sanchez fro, the start - You have to admit that EVERY single Aspect of Football on the Jets Collapsed this year....We all know what Sanchez needs to have a chance at some success - We all know what any QB needs - Sanchez got NONE OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Rex's Defense was anywhere near what he thought it was then this team beat Denver probably picks up another win and we sit here today waiting for Playoff game #2!!!! What about the Run game? WR?s OL? Was Sanchez given ANY help or improvement in any of these areas........ Apologist......LOL... PUHLEASE with that crap.. Lets just stick to facts. And Fact #1 is that Sanchez is the Jets QB for the coming year.... So, the Jets need to improve on every single football aspect around him, sink or swim and then take it from there.
so, it's pretty much turning out that either Mehta found one, maybe two malcontents as unnamed sources so his yellow journalism rag could plaster the big story on the back page OR he just made up his unnamed sources, Cimini style Just about every player on the team seems to have responded in support of Mark saying that the charges are bogus and complete horsespit. Of course, there is apparently no followup in Mehta's irresponsible rag covering the support of Sanchez from his team
The point of mentioning the top 2 players on our team is that the conversation is about the best qb in the NFL (2-14 makes that pretty clear). You ask Pats players and they wont trash their qb to talk about Manning. Neither would a lot of teams. Jets players are doing it because they have no faith in Sanchez. As for the apologist comment, I said that in general. Every aspect of the Jets was bad this year, but I think a lot of it was Sanchez's fault. How many times was the defense good just to see him fuck it up, and they came out there defeated. How many times was Greene facing a stacked line because aside from Tebow, Sanchez might be the biggest joke of a qb in the NFL, and no one is scared of him. And getting back to next year, if Sanchez is the QB next year, this team will struggle again. And if Rex lets him take every snap, not only will I call for Sanchez to be cut, but for him to be fired as well. Enough is enough.
The criticism really means little, as there's no way of knowing if it comes from an isolated group of malcontents or respected players who represent the general sentiments of the team.
I love "fans" like Milcus, who actually seem to be rooting for Sanchez to fail so they can be proven right.
