Picking up another QB just doesn't make sense even at bargain basement prices.

You can never have enough mediocre QB's. At least this way we would have a mediocre QB who can both see down field and throw down field in case we are behind in the 4th quarter.

I would trade Kendal for him that way both Miami and the Jets don't have the embarrassment of having to cut them outright.

I doubt Daunte Spaghetti-knee would sign with any team as anything less than a backup with a chance to challenge for a job with a less-than-established starting QB. And we already have an emergency QB (AKA sack dummy). It would be nice to have an emergency QB with an arm like his but not at the price he will ask.

Marques Tuiasopopo...who's probably better now, especially from a mobility standpoint.

I agree, my post was more of a goof than serious. I have been ripping apart Daunte for years and my point was he was good enough to be our #3 but this guy has an inflated opinion of how good he will be and has been so he'd never work out as a #3.

You do realize Daunte is a choker. Even w/ that big, strong arm that fascinates you and most fans he is a career loser. Chad has always been better than Daunte as long as Chad is health and Chad is a top QB in this league as long as he is healthy. he is far from mediocre even those his #s were mediocre a year ago.
