    Question 1: no

    Question 2: NO

I don't think Mangini should be judged on the years before this or even the past two games. I think he should be judged on this year as a whole when we have all the talent and an established quarterback. Lets see how the final 3 games play out. I still have faith.

GO JETS! I'll be there next Sunday rooting for my team.

If they miss the playoffs with all the offseason moves, he must go

    Yes and Yes

He's a fraud, definitely not what we thought he was.

Cowher to NY is the answer...

If they fall apart in the last 5 games losing games at home to Denver, on the road to san fran and than laying an egg in the final 3 he should be let go plain and simple

will he...no -- i think bob sutton would take the fall playoffs or not....roe crennel would be offered a fat contract to run a Patriot like defense and Mangini would get another season....

only issue we would have no QB because farve would retire

barring some insane run thought the rest of the season, and a deep trip into the post season. No reason to bring Mangini back. hes been awful. Sutton is terrible, schotty is terrible, but those are his guys and Mangini had ample time to make corrections, And there NO excuse for the return of Bob Sutton after last year...
with that being said, the season still isn't over and we still control our own destiny. The reality is we are a sub par team that can win if we get allot of breaks and the other team shoots themselves in the foot. Were simply not good and most weeks over the past 2 years Mangini is out coached! time to go in a new direction following yet another disappointing jet season....

    no and no.

Comon were 8-5, yes even if we collapse and end up 9-7 and miss the playoffs it will be tough, but hes not the one blowing coverages and not executing on 3rd downs.

We have alot of young talent, he has been building a fine team for a few years. Look at us at the end of herms tenure and look at us now, were better everywhere.

He completely retooled the roster. Year one he went 10-6 with smoke and mirrors, a soft schedule and were promptly exposed in the playoffs. Year 2 we retooled and went 4-12, with alot of close losses. Year 3 we are 8-5, if we go 9-7 or 10-6 i still consider it positive steps.

All of you cryiing for cowher two things, ONE HES NOT COMING HERE STOP WHINING.

two, do you remember how long it took him to win one, if he coached the jets you would have been screaming for his head all those years Kordell was blowing it. Paitence is a virtue, its no wonder that the steelers owenership has 5 superbowl rings, they have plans and stick to it.

I think Mangini should stay, I think he's going to be our franchise HC for a while.

However, we need a new DC and OC. Both have no clue what they're doing.

Fire Everyone!!!!! That way you all have new coach to bitch about 24/7. I don't think any of you would be happy even if we won with Mangini.

He was given $152 million in top FAs if you count Brett. If we don't get in the playoffs he should be gone.

I agree. This team is loaded with talent and has a very friendly schedule. If Mangini can't get to the playoffs (and maybe even win a playoff game) with this talent he should be considered for the axe. Sutton should definately be gone, there is no reason to keep him around.

I personally think Mangini is not maximizing this team's talent and is a below-average coach. I've never been a huge fan of his. I think this organization would be better without him as HC.

    No and no.

When you hire a 35 year old with one year of experience as a coordinator, you're making a long term commitment understanding there will be growing pains and hoping he will eventually develop into a good coach. Three years is too soon to pull the plug.

Maybe and No. I just don't see Woody firing him when he has made the team competitive. I say that because I think Woody is kind of the anti-Jerry Jones. Having a winning team is good enough for him, rather than thinking SB or bust.

Though I'm sick and tired of changing coaches whenever the going gets rough, I've about had it with this crap. We finally give Mangini all the weapons he wanted and we STILL can't fuckn' close.

I won't be crying if they decided to can his ass.

The problem is that if they fire Mangini the only replacements Woody will consider will be Josh McDaniels and Dean Peas.
