If I'm the Jets, I stay as far away from RG3 as possible. Dude has absolutely 0 accountability in terms of his play.

For the record, RGIII is exactly 8 months older than Geno and has played in 8 more games.

They are much closer in terms of experience and age than most people think.

But RG3 is a complete finished product never ever to improve and Geno is a complete neophyte with his whole future ahead of him to improve.

Would you say he's above average?

I can't imagine what you've seen to make you think that. He has all the tools sure, but outside of maybe 10 games in his pro career, he has shown to be a not better than average QB .

    Exactly.

There is a reason why Gruden doesn't want him and is/was being forced to play him. Rg3 knows he has the owner in his corner. And that type of situation is toxic.

Did you not see the part of your post I highlighted in bold? Here's a clue it wasn't the part where you called him average.

Not to mention RG3's injury history, while Geno has show the ability to take some big shots and stay relatively durable.

Yeah that's his problem... If geno smith couldn't stay on the field we might actually think he has a future. Instead we got a full assortment of games to deduce that he sucks...

Well I'm questioning the complete product comment. He's only 25.

So you think his best days aren't behind him then?

He had a great year in 2012. Looked like the real thing. But injuries took over.

Maybe if he became a QB that threw the ball 90 percent of the time he could last a whole season and be a productive player.

If nothing changes with his game he won't be playing past the age of 30. And if I was betting on it id guess he doesn't have any days in the future that are as good as his past

That to me makes him a finished product.

I'd like to believe that the new front office is smarter than to think that RGIII is the answer.
