i don't see how they have a better roster. our defenses are comparable, and i like our secondary a lot better. our QB's are horribly comparable, but i still like ours better. i'd probably give our Oline the slight nod, and the skill positions a slight nod Buffalo's way. Miami and NE have much better QB's, which changes everything, but not better overall rosters than either the Jets or Buff. there is no excuse for the Jets (or Buff or Miami) to not be competing for a playoff spot, and i'll be pissed if it's not us. conversely, it will also be to the credit to whoever makes it.
if it means bills over pats then yes. if it means bills over us, then no. i have no ill will towards rex. he made us relevant for a short period and is still one of the most successful coaches weve had although that doesnt say much
outside of CB, and WR the bills are better everywhere IMO. and they will have a more reliable pass rusher without blitzing.
better QB? better Oline? their Dline is better? who will be running the ball week 1? who are their ILBs?
Buffalo probably has the best chance of winning the division if the Brady suspension is upheld so why would anybody be surprised?
The P*ts still have the best chance of winning the division, Br*dy out 4 games or not. i don't see why Buffalo has better odds than either us or Miami tho.......they have the worst QB situation. between those 3 teams, things should be very tight, and the 3 could end up offsetting each other.
I figured you'd appreciate this: Rex Ryan just confirmed that EJ Manuel will start tomorrow's preseason game against the Steelers. 3 starters in 3 games. Good luck getting in rhythm with that.
buffalo and miami are pretty even but what is ne going to do for defense? the only reason they got anywhere last year was because of revis and browner, they are gone and so is wilfork..i don't see them winning 11 games under any circumstances if brady sits out 4 of them.
Jamie Collins, Chandler Jones, Donta Hightower, Malcom Brown, Jabaal Sheard and Rob Ninkovich is one of the best young front groups in the NFL. Outstanding, actually. Then they've got McCourty, who is a top 3 free safety in the league. They'll play more zone and rely on their ability to get to the quarterback. I think they'll be fine on defense
I don't but we will see. As Ryan said and proved, you win game with cornerbacks and quarterbacks, the first they won't have all year and the second they may not have for a quarter of the year.
i agree with your point on NE's defense. those were big losses. but with Belichick, with Br*dy for at least 12 games, a healthy mix of cheating and a relatively light schedule, that is still a minimum 10 win team. so i still have them as the team to beat regardless. i'm not so sure the Jets, Bills, or Fish are 10 win teams, but they all have a shot at being a winning team. i don't see much separating them at all, and they may end up offsetting each other. it's going to come down to coaching and health for those 3. The Jets and Bills have the added challenge of coming up with mediocre QB'ing (instead of bad) as well, but solid rosters aside.
That's pretty funny right there. Browner led the NFL in PI/Holding penalties and Revis was nowhere to be found in big games, especially the Ravens playoff game and in the Super Bowl.
they'll rely on their ability to score a lot of points early, and letting their D be one dimensional.
Yeah, I probably should have phrased it differently..the reason they got to the sb was because of revis and browner and you will see the truth in that this year.
Meh, I'll give that one a 3.5/10. You're slipping abysmal, I thought you were funnier than this. I'll chalk it up to the pre-season.
