He does actually thats exactly what his stats say too. Especially when compared to the game logs. If you dont know that teams tend to do that, then you really need to step away from the conversation. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I said a QBs comp % has nothing to do with a QB? If did I say that RZ efficiency is more than just on the QB? Not YOU are the one who is ignoring points in the red zone and looking only at comp % in the RZ. You sound like an angry clueless fan. Go back to YOUR circle jerk. The one where you and the rest of the clueless fools pick out an obscure stat and keep repeating it as if it's the end all way to judge a QB. Why is it the most clueless talk the most and loudest? I'm done with you
Youve been arguing that his 44% redzone completion percentage isnt just him. Now you want to change it...ok ill bite. You could have misread or misinterpreted it. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
You’re either ignoring me because you know you’re wrong or you truly don’t understand that what you’re saying doesn’t make sense. I’ll try to break it down for you: 1. You say Cousins pads stats in the fourth when teams go into the prevent defense. 2. Cousins has better 3Q numbers than 4Q 3. Logic dictates he doesn’t pad stats against the prevent because he has better numbers in a quarter where teams will never ever go into the prevent defense. And try to stay with me here but you’re completely baseless claim also doesn’t take into account that the team won 7 games and of the 9 they lost, the opposing team didn’t go into prevent D every single time the Skins had the ball down the stretch. I mean the whole thing is just absurd. You can raise legit concerns about Cousins but this isn’t one of them. It’s a horrible baseless point that every stat argues against and the only thing you’ve been able to say is “well I watched the games”. Well for your sake, considering the conclusions you’ve drawn, I hope you actually haven’t. And something tells me you haven’t.
Obviously this is going over your head. No his numbers arent better in the 3rd. His completion percentage is actually higher in the 3rd by a few points. That being said, his attempts go up from 3rd to 4th quarter. Hes also taken 5 more sacks in the 4th meaning hes dropping back more. Consistent with a team team who is trailing in the 4th quarter. He has less yards in the first quarter than any other despite having a higher average amd his completion percentage is lower. Hmmmmmm Im not explaining this to you again. Look at his game logs and watch tape to compare them Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
It’s definitely going over someone’s head and it ain’t mine. This is a waste of time. You’re either incapable of understanding or don’t want to. Either way, have fun talking in circles with someone else.
Lol you mean talking to people who get it? And having a smart football conversation. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I just have to say again, the notion that the Skins couldn’t run the ball because teams didn’t respect Cousins is truly a lowlight in this website’s history.
When you think of tom brady, you think of those 4th quarter drives. Thats hownhe became the legend he is today. Those situations are what separate the qbs. Do you have any doubts that 4th quarter 2 mins left and you gotta drive 80 yrds that Bree, Brady, and Rodgers aren't going down field? Absolutely not Can you say that about Cousins? Or hell even compared to McCown? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Odds are the average fan hasn't watched more than Redskins highlights or some big primetime games the Skins played in. Most of us diehards rely on stats and highlights. If you watch more than that you better be getting paid for it or planning on entering that career field. Otherwise you're in need of some OCD meds or in need of getting laid, or both. Lol
Its part of the team hierarchy down here. Because this is eagles territory, we get NFC east games. I almost always have to stream the jets games. I do go a little overboard tho. I have a galaxy book, a laptop, a tv all playing different games. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Even if Mayfield's top level is no better than Cousins (and it could be a good bit higher), the Jets would be getting that for 10-15 years instead of 3-5, and getting it substantially cheaper than what they'd be paying Cousins. In addition, while Mayfield was learning and developing, they'd still have the higher draft position to get the other pieces they need for their team. Unless Cousins's skills have deteriorated over the offseason, the Jets will be drafting in the teens or twenties, and just as they have for most of their existence, not getting the topflight players at the positions where they have needs. You wanna talk passion? There's not a QB in the draft or in FA that can match Mayfield's passion, or his ability to extend plays and create, or his accuracy.
You can't be serious with that nonsense. Their prime begins around 25-26 and for many is starting to taper off at 30
I see. I watch the Jets, and flip around looking at the other games that are closely contested or the games with a player from my fantasy football team. Fantasy football and a little bit of betting make you watch games you otherwise wouldn't give two shits about. Some weekends I don't watch much football because I have other things going on.
Im in a 50 dollar buy in league so winner takes home almost 500 bucks. Lol so yeah i watch everything, hell i rode blake bortles and dak Prescott to champions. Some of that was most def luck tho. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
In the past you would be close, 26 - 28, however with the rules protecting the QBs today, I'm very serious.Look at your elite QBs today and their ages. Even in the past, Unitas was what? 37 when he won the super Bowl, Brady, Manning 30 for his first, 39 for his last, Favre had his best season after he left the Jets, Elway's back to back Super Bowl wins at the very end of his career. Rodgers and Brees are still elite. What was Vinny , 34-35 when he hit his peak? 30 is far from the end for QBs in today's game. Edit I will add beyond the rule changes, advancements in training regimens, dietary methods, medical procedures , virtual reality and other training methods are having a major impact on the longevity of QBs and athletes in most sports.
Yeah, he has accomplished more than them. Agreed. I just would take both over him. That's my list. I was being as critical as possible to show that Cousins is good. I want to sign him.
When Cousins shits the bed in divisional games for the Jets next season, the Cousins clan will next want Mike Shanahan. Bowles and Bates will have to go because they are gonna be blamed for Cousins being Cousins: 8-8 or 7-9.
Like this post if you think Kirk Cousins could have led the 49ers on a 5 game winning streak to end this past season the way Jimmy Garoppolo did for the sorry ass 49ers.
