Do you think he could fill in for Fireman Ed?

If he wants the position, I say go for it. Sean Lee became a hell of a player under Rob.

Rob to the Saints. Could totally see him condoning (if not personally resurrecting) the bounty program.

Sean Lee was already becoming a good player, yea in 1 year lol.

Not really interested in having Rob here... Rex's Defense is great, Rob's ...meh...

BTW, Ryan is going to the SAINTS

Very good move by the Saints..

I thought the main reason the Rams deal fell thru was due to differences of opinion over scheme. Heard Ryan wanted to run a 3-4 there.
The Saints don't run a 3-4 either, unless that is changing? Maybe Vilma gets caught in yet another 3-4 scheme change.

I think Rob is a good hire for the Saints. The Saints don't have the personnel to just rush 3 or 4 and get constant pressure on the QB, so Rob's exotic looks should help them out a bit. I would be surprised if the Saints didn't go after a top CB in the draft, especially with Rob on board now. If Milliner is still there at #9, maybe the Saints would be willing to move up for him. That would give us at least an additional 3rd rounder.

I think Saints fans are going to be pulling their hair out watching Rob Ryan's unsound defense like Cowboys fans were the last couple of years.

Cowboys D improved quite a bit after Ryan got there. I think they were close to dead last prior to his arrival.

Opening day against the Giants was a brilliant game plan and execution.
as the season progressed they were pulling guys off the street to play LB due to injuries, and they still an ok D..

I think Rob is a good D coordinator but they also brought in good corners which helped turn that D around too. Jerry is a fool for firing him so soon but I don't think he is a "great" D coordinator.
