If Edwards had wanted to stay, all he had to do was say to KC that he was under contract with the Jets, and they should go away. Expecting a raise and extension after an awful year doesn't constitute wanting to stay.

And "I've always liked KC and would love to see Herm win a SB" doesn't sound like something a #1 Jets Fan would say.

don't get me wrong I will still be rooting hard for them, but for some reason I don't like this Eric guy.

He wanted to stay? Not with everything I have read. It was pretty apparent he was making a nuisance of himself so he could leave.

I think he is still pondering his answer.

What wrong with wanting a extension when your team going to rebuild?
I am a Jets season ticket holder for like ten years and I've been to every home but 5 over that time plus I live in Va.

Would it be so hard to learn the HCs last name? Especially of the team you are supposedly the #1 fan of. It just makes you look like an idiot...wait...nevermind.

Again, if he wanted to stay, he would have - he was still under contract with the Jets.

Because the team went 4-12. He was the HC, he was responsible for the teams record, it doesn't matter if there were injuries. As head coach it falls on him. And a 4-12 record does not consistitute an extension and raise. ESPECIALLY for a team rebuilding.

I was so psyched in 69 when we won that Super Bowl with that Joe guy. I had posters of him all over my room. Ya know, Joe what's-his-face.

I would be rooting for the Jets, but it wouldn't hurt as much knowing Herm is going to the SB.
