if we are gonna run screen passes all game like the pats are than cassel can be our qb. at least 150 yards today have come off screens. if it works thats great and it obviously working for the pats today, but cassel isn't exactly picking apart the defense.

If we can get Cassel at a decent price, and I have no idea what next years cap is going to be like with all the additions this year he is my primary choice.
Outside of that, I don't get a warm fuzzy with Clemens, I like what Ratliff did during the pre-season, but would like to see more out of him.

matt cassell would do fucking terrible on this team. or pretty much any team that's not the patriots. One, because they're loaded with talent far better than the Jets' have and two, because Cassell's been in that system for 3 years and would have to relearn Jets' system

Not really, Welker got 103 yards in the Supoerbowl which killed me as I stood to win a few quid had he gone for between 51-100 yards. That last Welker reception killed me.....thankfully the Plaxico TD was the best financial play of my gambling life so the Giants redeemed themselves :gpc:

On the subject of Cassell, how realistic is it that we could get him? Are there other teams with plenty of cap room in the way we had last year, who'd be interested?

cassell will be franchised so he is not an option...no way new england lets him go....they will see how brady does next year, then in 2010 will decide between the 2

Actually, that's very sound logic. We won't get Cassel. And Clemens is not the answer. So of the choices provided Ratliff is the choice.

Using your logic, the better answer is to let Clemens and Ratliff battle it out without your personal bias.

Using your logic without it being in the format of a poll question is seek outside help that isn't Matt Cassel. So if you were answering in terms of the poll, then it's more agreeable, but Ratliff has done nothing to deserve the job.
