If the Jets sign a great edge rusher like Lawrence and then draft Bosa, I hope that they never win another game. Ever (or at least as long as the Johnsons own the team.)
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Jets organization is a bigger train wreck than the White House. Seems only appropriate as Woody and he are buds.
Comfortable. That's a word that comes to my mind when I see Williams on the field. He looks like a comfortable fellow. Comfortable on his couch, comfortable not hitting the gym, comfortable with coaches that don't demand or expect the best out of him. I don't blame Bowels for that for sure he's enabled this borderline bust. The drive to be the best is innate in the best players the best players are self motivated.
How does a multibillion dollars organization like the Jets not have some sort of a dress/appearance code? I've read that Yankees players must shave their beards if they want to play for them, I remember Tom Coughlin's dress code for his players when he was with the Giants. This guy Williams shows up with his hair all over the place the wannabe wild man look. His 'look'. Very unprofessional IMO.
That would be awesome. They could add at least a 2nd round pick, maybe more and still get one of the top LT prospects.
Strange logic from Fatso Cat, we’ve been in a permanent rebuild for fifty years. With all the free agents and draft picks required to plug gaps, he’ll be back to square one next year whether Bowles stays or goes. The only consistent thing we have is our losing streak.
Yeah I don't understand this logic at all. If the team likes Bowles so much then why aren't they playing harder for him? Our defense is by no means elite, but it should be good enough to not lose 41-10 at home to the Bills with a nobody at QB. Okay, maybe thats one game but we've sucked for at least 3 years and haven't made the playoffs for 8. Williams has been on this team since Bowles' first year and hasn't made a significant impact other than take up blockers for our mostly non existent pass rushers. Even before these comments about Bowles, I was wondering if it was even worth it to keep him with the salary he is going to ask for. Its probably best to let him play out the rest of his contract and let him go after next year.
If the Jets ownership makes a coaching selection based on inputs from underachieving players who happen to love their incompetent country club CS then we will probably not win many games, even while drafting 6 offensive players and getting 4 more through the free agency process. This team is rotten from the top down. BB is respected by the players, but rest assured not too many actually like him. Yet they know better that not to give 120% every game. Everyone on the other hand loves TB, yet they don't overachieve shit for him. What is wrong with this picture? Oh wait, it is an ailment called lousy ownership breading louse leadership and no accountability.
