If you want this to be about starting a franchise from scratch which QB are you taking is going to depend on age, potential just as much as how good they are now.

if you want who are the top 15 NFL Qb's, then that list will be different from top to bottom.

Yeah, it was about top 15 QBs right now...not starting from scratch.

Guess I should have been more clear with it.

Not a lot of love for Eli or Romo either with most. Surprised to see Colt McCoy crack anywhere near the top 15.

Personally the reason I have Vick so hish is his ceiling, no other qb has the ability to be a weapon like him, of course I took it as drafting a qb for a team, top qb-wise I would not have him as high

    Me too.

Not trying to be a dick, but it's halfway retarded to put Colt McCoy in a top fifteen list.

Man...I couldn't disagree with this list any more. Even if I weren't considering building my team around a YOUNG QB who has shown talent and consistency, and just making a list of best QBs (which is what I think you did)..my ranking would be so diff.

I would put Vince Young on my list sooner than I would Orton or Schaub.

    1. Rodgers
    2. Rivers
    3. Ryan
    4. P. Manning
    5. Brady
    6. Brees
    7. Bradford
    8. Roethlisberger
    9. Flacco
    10. Vick
    11. Romo
    12. Sanchez
    13. Freeman
    14. Cutler
    15. Stafford

I think the same could be said about Stafford...the guy has played in 3 games this year...after a rookie year in which he barely completed half of his passes and had 20 ints to his 13 tds. Granted, I can see the upside/potential, but man , way too early to pick these guys among the top 10 or so in the NFL.

Bradford has been unreal as a rookie...but even then, he barely has an 80 rating along with 6 ypa. Not really top 10 worthy, imo.

When it comes down to it, how different are Schaub and Orton from Rodgers and Rivers? All of them put up numbers, and none of them have won anything.

    Matt Shaub: 3,089 yards, 17-8 TD/INT, 93.2 rating, 65% completion
    Kyle Orton: 3,487 yards, 20-6 TD/INT, 93.0 rating, 58% completion
    Aaron Rodgers: 3,243, 23-9 TD/INT, 100.3 rating, 65% completion
    Phillip Rivers: 3,642, 24-10 TD/INT, 102.5 rating, 65% completion

Rivers and Rodgers are obviously elite QB's, but I don't think Shaub and Orton are scrubs either. Frankly, Jets bias aside, Orton and Schaub are probably better then guys 11-15 on your list.

They are substantially different because two of them are in MVP talks for this season and two are not.

I definitely don't think Schaub and Orton are scrubs, I wouldn't build my team around them though.

I would easily pick only one...Rodgers. Hands down. The way he handled himself with the Favre bullshit and also on the field play, he's the type of guy I want to build a team around.

Because it's also about the intangible stuff too Foley, and I don't believe Orton or Schaub would rally my troops.

Yeah you're right my list is COMPLETELY different from what you have on yours... Romo doesn't deserve to be there he's not a big game QB he's had plenty of opportunities and never shows up.

    What big games have
What big games have Orton, Schaub, Stafford, Cutler, or Freeman won to be on there ahead of Romo? Because Romo has better numbers.

I waffled on my picks constantly. Hard to rank some guys, but there is a clear dropoff after 8 or 9 imo.

They haven't had the opportunities that Romo has had. I'm looking at it as which QB has the most upside and who I want on the big stage with the game on the line. I know I don't want Romo.

Stafford I have second guessed that pick and I would reconsider his placement on the list.

Love Stafford he would probably be number 8 if I thought he could stay healthy

That's the only reason I'd reconsider putting Stafford on the list..
