I agree, those are Kotite numbers. Barring a rash of injuries we're not going 3-13. Even if we're bad and keep losing close games like Baltimore and Buffalo were, we'll end up around 6-10.

Dorsey is a similar player to Robertson in college, just more disruptive. He's not a great fit for the 3-4.

  3. Actually they're extremely similar. Robertson might've been alittle stronger and more powerful, but Dorsey is quicker and much better w/ his hands.

Dorsey however has twice the supporting cast than D rob ever had in college. Unless we're switching back to the 4-3..Dorsey has no place in a 3-4.

  4. Quentin Groves is gonna be a helluva DE/ 3-4 OLB and if Calias Campbell can get quicker off the snap and use his hands better....he has a chance to be like richard Seymour w/ his size and athleticism.

If 1-3 turned into 3-13, it would exceed my expectations. My expectation is more like 1-15.

    Ngata is 6'4", 340

Use that as a frame of reference

Ngata is not the Nose Tackle in Baltimore. Kelly Gregg is and he is closer in body size to Glenn Dorsey. Height and Weight aren't as big of a deal as playing style. Dorsey is big but plays quick and doesn't focus on holding points of attack whereas Gregg does.

  9. Dorsey may work as an NT in a 4-3 scheme...hell D rob would prolly work in that role as well. unfortunately...it takes a unique skill set to be a successful 3-4 NT.

theres very few lineman trhat can play in the 3-4 this year. Frank Okam is a beast, but even at 6 ft 5, 320 he might be better suited for DE in the 3-4. then again drafting him to rotate in would alone be a good choice.

there might be a couple more but nobody worth jumping on early to be honest. maybe andre fluellen, draft him to rotate with ellis and coleman. 6 ft 4 284, probably runs in the low 4.8's maybe even sub 4.8. plays with alot of aggression and is good at knifing into the backfield.

or to be honest we could trade down a few slots and try to draft Jake Long out of Michigan. hes got the size and strength to move to RT in the NFL. and Clement is only a stopgap so it would make perfect sense.

either way i think our first 3 or 4 picks should be in the trenches on both sides of the ball. only way we jump on a skill player is if its a steal at the time.

If we go 3 - 13 mangini needs to be fired point blank. Hire a coach who can use our playmakers in a scheme that fits them...
