He has been tight lipped, fueling speculation on how the Jets will make their choices on Thursday. Maybe I was being a bit dramatic, but now I think we really know how he will pick for the draft. Up until this point, did you really know what he was going to do? There have about a million posts by every fan how Idzik should take player A 0ver B. What I am saying is starting last draft this team will start to mock Seattle using a certain draft model. To me what he said is interesting and not the usual drivel if you read carefully. It should prepare us for some unlikely selections.

    Seriously, right?

Idzik: "I will in fact be drafting players on draft day. Consider my hand tipped."

I hear Idzik has a punter as his BPA at 18, you heard it here first folks.

If I were Idzik I'd draft a punter to give every dumbass press questioneer a swift punt to the sack. That would demand some respect.

For the female media members you could all it a "cooch kick" or a "cunt punt"

Both make me chuckle. Will I get banned for that? lol

Yeah but Cooch Kick sounds like Pooch Kick. It's like having two children, you can't pick a favorite.

But deep down inside you always have a favorite.

Since you seemed to have been able to read the tea leaves in what Idzik says and most of us could not decipher it, what is the pick? If he tipped his hand then you must know.

I'd just like to know if the jerks are circling or if the circle is jerking here.

    Exactly.

He's definitely picking someone at 18.

UNLESS...he trades that pick, which he MAY have tipped us off to.

Doesn't every GM say they will take the BPA? It's all just smoke and mirrors right now!

Idzik wouldn't even admit it were smoke and mirrors.

He would refer to it as an unidentified gas and reflective surfaces.

If anyone is doing any mental masturbation it's the fans, as usual. Every Forum/Post is a circle jerk Rale, everyone plays at being GM, and it looks like you have spewed 100s of times. Conversations are fun and everyone enjoys posting myself included. If you understand how someone thinks you can anticipate his/her move. I am trying to predict what JI will do on Thursday, what's wrong with that?

If you carefully read my post, the answer is based on the value eg B+ or A- that the Jets place on the whole board of candidates. What the article tells us that "immediate need" will be a low variable. So to answer your question it depends on the players at 18 that are still out there. If there is a WR with a high grade he might pass it up for lower grade OLB if he feels it benefits team. The only thing he tipped his hand about is the WAY he makes his choice not WHO he is choosing. The wind up is, that we can throw out all our prognostications who will be picked since there are so many positions in football. Look at last years draft too........he will draft the same way. Supposedly, there was a "need" for a number of positions at that time and he picked Richardson, a DL! Fans were disappointed but it turned out well.

I can see now why you said he tipped his hand, it is so clear.

The last time the Jets had a 1st round pick that seemed obvious going into the draft was 2008 and Vernon Gholston. I'd prefer to stay in the dark right up until pick 18 this time. :)

Idzik is like Belichik in terms of presentation minus the chance he'll suddenly snarl and bite your head off.
