I will admit I am not in the medical field. Maybe drug patents have more specific requirements than I realize. I am used to other fields where they aren't and patents are crushing to growth. That's where my frustrations and worries about patents are coming from. I still have my doubts about how increasing patent time will help growth because in my personal experience they do the opposite. But if you know more about the medical field than I do, perhaps you are right, I respect your opinion.
I appreciate that, thank you. This is one of the topics where people often locked into their opinion. I happened to be familiar with patent process in pharma and in general. They are dry different. I do believe that allowing longer patent time would lead to better ability to recover money, and I'm very unconvinced about gov't ability to manage funds properly. But that's a different story.
