    I really don't think so.
That argument seems too homerish for me AND a useless one also, because numbers are not that important.

Once said that, I keep "Mi Mariscal de Campo".
So far, Sanchez has proven what Stafford only has suggested.

    Yep.

Sanchez has a good deep ball, but who would know that since its never used.

I imagine him behind the Lions' OL and with no running game and throwing the ball 40 times a game.

    Not pretty.

And the OL and running game is much worse.

A lot more would be asked of Mark in this offense and frankly I have no idea if he's cerebral enough to handle it.

Our running game has been shit and Im pretty sure you cant get much worse... Yes it has its ups, but even then, we abandon it. Plus, injury has plagued the Lions backfield and has only been a little worse than ours.

And to add with a terrible run game, Im pretty sure the Oline is as inconsistent as it gets. Night and Day. Colts last year and Colts this year...

Stafford is surrounded by better weapons and better play calling. The Oline play and RB may lean towards us, but if so, its only minimally.

To be fair Wayne Hunter is easily one of the absolute WORST starting offensive lineman in the entire nfl.

And id gladly take Best or Kevin Smith TODAY over any HB on this roster right now. Of course assuming the 2 of them arent spending their careers on IR

Hunter has been brutal this year, but I'd gladly take him along with the other four if you'd like to swap.

Throwing Freeman in there, the jury is still out on who the best QB in that round is.

How can anyone say that Stafford has better weapons than Mark since day one....

Stafford has one of the best wideouts in the game in CJ but CJ is also hurt/misses time and other than that he hasnt had much. Yeah Pettigrew is a decent tightend. Best is always out and that is it....

Mark has had nothing but weapons plan and simple, granted they are not on the caliber of CJ but Holmes, Edwards, Plax, are pretty damn good...to include one of the most dominate o lines/run games in NFL history a few years ago.

Add into the fact that the Lions D has sucked for years, this past year and this year they have gotten better, still not great. Were as the Jets D is one of the best, creating turn overs and short fields for Mark to work with....

Right now I don't think any of these 3 guys are looking particularly "elite". All have shown flashes but the consistency isn't there. As far as who is the best of the bunch, that really seems to change on almost a game by game basis.

heck no. Stafford is a product of Calvin johnson and gets injured like everygame.

he's a chubby dude with a gut.. makes me question his work ethic. I take sanchez everytime.

    Gotta agree with this.

This year their surrounding casts are similar. Stafford's crew might be a little better this year. But the past two years (when Sanchez had success) Sanchez had a much better supporting cast.

Sanchez has much better intangibles and is much more durable. But Stafford is better at, well, throwing the ball.

In my opinion it really depends on the team. On a team like we had the last 2 years (good D, strong running game) I would still take Sanchez, but on a team with less talent or more pass oriented I would go with Stafford at this point. That being said, about 80% of NFL teams fall into the second category.

Stafford is injury prone, but in every other respect is the superior talent.

If you throw Sam Bradford in the mix, I'd have to give it some thought. Oops, I forgot, this is a praise Sanchez thread..
