Funny thing about it is, as it stands now after the Cro move we need Revis more than we did a year ago when we traded him.

When asked if he would hold out, his response was, "I just don't know." By responding that way, he once again made it clear that holding out was a possibility.

Did he directly say, "I will hold out." Obviously not. If you don't get why by previously holding out two times prior, and then saying, "I just don't know" is a threat to holdout, then you are just dumb.

"I just don't know", is the same as saying, "I might". If he wasn't going to hold out, he would have said, "I'm not going to hold out."

Read the article. As usual, you are wrong and/or blind. I'll be happy to post more articles quoting what he said.

You gotta remember back when sanders played, CB's gotta way with a whole lot more tugging past the 5 yards from scrimmage.

I don't agree with trading for revis and neither do the jets or they would have paid him last year. His 16 mil contract is Rediculous.

Also let's not forget Verner said he would sign around 4pm. Do you think he had a deal lined up with the jets and was going to sign at 4pm until we realized revis maybe available again and the jets want to kick the tires and look into revis possibly delaying the Verner signing.

If we don't sign Verner by the time Revis is released, Revis will be a Jet.

Guys, this isn't happening. When he's released he'll not only get his payday but will be able to choose which contender he wants to play for. We burned this bridge already

And right as I say the bridge is burned, Manish says Revis would "love" a reunion.

Sure he can. He can call a bluff and threaten to sit.

It's happened before where guys no show camp, accumulate an absurd amount of $$ in fines, settle and the fines get waived as part of the agreement.

Of course he would. Assuming the Jets pay him big $$$$$$.

Can't see Woody taking him back.

You guys are hilarious. First you love Revis, and dont want him gone. Then, when it becomes inevitably clear the Jets would trade him, you all hate and demonize him for wanting the money he wanted. You even start a thread tracking him throughout the season and trying to spin everything he does into something negative. Now that he may become a free agent, you love him again and want him on your team. Jesus Christ I can't keep up with you people.

It sounds like you're keeping up perfectly. Almost as if you're obsessed with us.

Saints signed Byrd on a 6 year contract.

    With what cap space though?

Interesting, Verner went to the Bucs basically guaranteeing Revis will be cut. How much of a win would it be for Idzik to have traded Revis for one season, got a 1st (DROY no less) and 4th round pick, and brought him back to finish his career with the Jets 1 season later. If Idzik pulls this off he will be a legend in my eyes and to Jet fans everywhere.

Tell me this means Revis is coming back to the Jets. Jets couldn't match that contract that the Bucs gave Verner?

I'm surprised NO signed Byrd. Sucks we lost out on Verner.

I am, too. I think that was a really fiscally irresponsible signing by New Orleans. Their defense has many holes, all of which are more important than a safety. Cam Jordan is a good player, but outside of that, they need to improve their dline, linebackers, and have no corners now that Greer was cut and Lewis is on the decline. They've already got a good safety in Vaccaro, the other spot could easily be filled in with a less expensive player. Not to mention they have been forced to cut players left and right to try and sign Jimmy Graham.

I'm of the philosophy that you dont spend $8, 9, or 10 million per year on a safety in general, but for a team like New Orleans, it is even more reckless.
