Hell yes. Some exciting teams from that era. One of the most explosive offenses with Wesley Walker, Freeman McNeil and Ken O'Brien.
OK, here's a hot take. Possibly the next best season by a Jets QB after Fitz Forget about Fitz. I remember feeling like Josh McCown had a great season in 2017 ! That may have been the best season by a Jets QB in the last 15 years. Statistically it's probably more or less on par with Rodgers from last year.
He’s the QB coach in Minnesota now I think…and he’s already interviewed for HC roles as well…he’s probably on that track…and honestly, if I’m going to hire a rookie HC, I’d rather go with the QB who’s worked under another QB turned HC like O’Connell than another DC again… Just sayin’
On a related note, how sad is it that we are down so far that we are looking to replicate the Detroit fucking Lions? Talk about an organization with a sustained track record of success to model your franchise after.
2008 was the last time the Jets scored over 400 points in a season. 1998 before that, which featured the best QB play I’ve ever seen by a Jets QB. I miss points. And winning.
Points are pretty cool. I’d be totally interested in watching the Jets invest two straight drafts in only offensive players to see what happens.
I would like to see them invest an entire draft dedicated to only WR's and hope they can get maybe one starter...
my buddy has a kid in high school. That kid wrote an essay about leadership and organizational excellence and when he referred to sports he cited the Detroit Lions. We had a great laugh
