That is a really good assessment. Unfortunately it usually because of the fans displeasure with the results that coaching changes are made so rapidly. If we have a couple bad seasons, I can see Woody "PSL" Johnson tossing Rex to the curb and getting someone else. It ludicrous. When will the Jets have their own Bill Cowher without actually hiring him? I think its an embarrassment to the fans, the team, and the organization as a whole that we switch coaches so much. I've said it before and will continue to say it - I like Rex's style, I like his attitude, and what he brings to the game, the players, and the team. I hope he's our coach for the next 15 years. As a fan I am willing to live and die with him as the coach through 4-12 seasons as long as we see some 12-4's as well.
Hes to fat, he would just hurt Falkor and the Jets would be consumed by the nothing......oh wait, thats already happening.
I'm always hopeful until it is vitually impossible to make the playoffs. Once we are in if we can get hot it's anyones game. The 2007 Giants are a perfect example. After 6 game, they were 4-2, after 9 games 6-3, finishing the season out at 10-6. They caught fire at the right time. As long as we take care of business in our division I think we can definitely make the playoffs.
He didn't say much here, and he never says much as an 'analyst'. You look around the NFL media circuit, and you have a bunch of ex-HCs providing X's and O's breakdowns and expert analysis. You listen to Herm talk on ESPN, and none of it is really football talk. It's a bunch of casual surface-nonsense jibber jabber. He doesn't break down football even a tiny bit. What a fraud.
That was my prediction before the season started. Looking pretty good right now given that Jenkins is out.
